Reason for joining : I've been following the server for a long time now, even before whitelists were a thing, and I am coming back due to re-discovering this a few weeks ago. The UNSC's art style has always been something I loved and I like the naval combat aspect this server has that is practically unmatched.

general character info:
Var is a Sangheili Zealot whom lives and dies by the command of those under his protection. When required, he will gladly give his life to protect the Prophets unless there's another way. He will usually use Unggoys as possible distractions, that way it can give time for a Minister or Prophet to retreat to safety. If a Prophet has no requirement for him, then he will talk with the shipmaster, asking if there's anywhere he's needed. He will usually lead from the front to show that he would not send his fellow subordinates into a situation where he himself would not go. He was trained on Sanghelios and has constantly been seeking to prove his loyalty to the Prophets, and in his mind, that would be easily achieved by protecting and giving his life for them. He hopes to achieve death while giving his life to protect the Prophets, fore he believes any other death would be dishonourable. He vastly respects the honour code but his pride can usually get the better of him. Var believes the Great Journey to be something which will be achieved in his lifetime and wishes to be with the Prophets once it is achieved. Before the Great Journey comes, Var wishes to prove his worth to the Prophets, attempting to become their Honour Guard. Other Sangheili may see it as a ceremonial role, but he himself sees it as a way to prove his worth to the Covenant and Prophets as a whole. 
(Var will be a Sangheili Major if Zealot is unavailable since it's not always on every round.)

Reason for joining : 
As a kid, Halo was practically my childhood. Since then, I've been looking to hopefully find a Halo RP game upon which people can be marines or members of the Covenant. Other than that, I find the Covenant is much more fanatic in their cause, and that playing as a fanatic would be quite enjoyable over the usual marine play.

Roleplay Example/History: 
I've been playing plenty of SS13, most being in the Medium-High RP ranges. Some servers being Aurora, Baystation, CM, and Leben. I've also played other RPG games which aren't exactly as expansive in the choices you can make, but they're there, such as Skyrim and Fallout. Along with those, I've also played D&D and some CK2 which isn't the most expansive in RP, but it has its moments.

More depth with factions details IE:

Unggoy: Var sees them as useful decoys and lethal when in large capacity. When leading groups of Unggoy he will usually attempt to have them present themselves quite loudly, that way the marines focus solely on them, allowing other forces to flank and eradicate the enemy forces. He'll treat the Unggoy as simply walking corpses unless they prove themselves in combat and have survived multiple engagements. Otherwise, He'll believe they're nothing more than that.

Kig-Yar: He believes them to be quite efficient in long-range combat, and will usually attempting to place them further back in a frontal conflict. He will usually treat the Kig-Yar with decency, but nothing further than that.

Jiralhanae: Var has a large distaste for them, and will attempt to send them in the Vanguard to hopefully create the most damage, and die in the progress. He is quite untrustworthy of the large brutes and sees them no more than entitled animals. If Var finds one who is sufficiently respectable he may act nicely to them, otherwise, he'll usually treat them as the animal they are.

San'Shyuum: Var holds them with the utmost respect possible and will protect those amongst them who are Prophets with his life. He is close to almost blindly loyal to them and will hear the Prophets' word as law.

What do you think your job is as the role you are applying for? The CO is the captain of the Bertels. The Commanding Officer is in charge of overseeing ground and space operations as well as make sure everything is in syncopation with protocol. They are to ensure that VT9 remains both a secret and unexplored as well as make sure Crescent Base is at all times unknown by the general population. If the URF does show up, to also neutralize the hostile faction to keep the system under UNSC control.

Why should you be whitelisted? I have played the CO role prior to the whitelist, Prescott being designed for said role. As an ODST I have shown to be competent in situations and keep a level head. The CO role is something I consider to be very serious and vital the how the UNSC performs. An incompetent CO would lead to the UNSC flopping. I have read up on proper Naval protocol especially of what to say over radios to ships and craft both within and outside the fleet and know how to properly address all space worthy vehicles in a nonhostile manner, as opposed to those who use lethal force as a means to entice cooperation. Also I was CO before, so I have experience being in command.

I understand that by being accepted into the whitelist my behaviour on the server is to be held to a standard at all times, and that if I sink below it I will get the boot.

Situation: 
Your fellow Honour Guard has been killed, as well as your prophet, by a human. You saw the human do this and follow him to find a group of humans. After engaging, you manage to kill the offending human, but the others manage to retreat where you could easily follow. What do you do next?
If a Shipmaster is present and I am aware of it, return to the Shipmaster and inform the covenant of whatever it is they aren't aware of, all that hasn't explicitly been said over comms already (prophet has died, their killer is slain, I have failed in my duties etc.) otherwise return to Vanguards Mantle while informing the covenant. If after this it turns out that there is a Shipmaster, proceed to guard them. Consider suicide as a penalty for this great dishonour, especially so in the case of if I cannot return to guard either the Shipmaster or Vanguards Mantle. Otherwise stand guard over the Shipmaster or defend the Mantle until a Shipmaster arrives or until I die in defense of the station.

Situation: 


Your fellow Honor Guard has been killed, as well as your prophet, by a human. You saw the human do this and follow him to find a group of humans. After engaging, you manage to kill the offending human, but the others manage to retreat where you could easily follow. What do you do next?
According to the restrictions and regulations of the Honor Guard, I would inform via battlenet that the prophet slayer has been slayed, and proceed to head back to base, either assigning myself to the shipmaster (if present) or protecting the main base of the covenant in the sector, whilst bearing great shame, should the round be too boring or I simply feel as it's needed, I would commit suicide.


Why should you be whitelisted?

Well, I believe I have the combat requirements for Honor Guard, and I also believe it'd give me a good amount of roleplay opportunities, as well as the fact that I simply love Halo lore, and I'd enjoy playing such a role, I enjoy the idea of being a personal bodyguard to a VIP and would definitely adhere to the regulations placed upon me, it seems like a role I'd be suited to do in simple terms, as to really why? Well I believe i'd contribute to the roleplay enviroment and gameplay, as a final barrier between enemies and the prophet, and would be able to handle such a role pretty well, I like to believe my combat ability proves this, I also have a high roleplay standard when required of me.

Do you understand the restrictions that Honour Guards have placed on them?:  I do. They are not front line combatants. They are not to charge blindly into battle. They are a last resort and stalwart to protect the Prophet at all costs, even if that means their life.


Do you understand that you are not above the Covenant law, and may be persecuted for not following the RoE?: I fully expect punishment for breaking any rules regarding Covenant law and RoE.


Do you understand that you can be removed from the whitelist at any given time, based on your behaviour, even when not playing the role you applied for?: Of course I expect it.


Situation:


Your fellow Honour Guard has been killed, as well as your prophet, by a human. You saw the human do this and follow him to find a group of humans. After engaging, you manage to kill the offending human, but the others manage to retreat where you could easily follow. What do you do next? Given I have slain my target I would announce to the rest of the Covenant Forces that the killer of the Prophet is slain yet in that small victory I have dishonored myself beyond salvation. If there is a Shipmaster on hand I would speak to them, speaking to understand the situation and state that I am to return to the Vanguard. If there is no shipmaster I would find a quiet spot and then of course state that my honor is in tatters and ruins and that I am to slay myself. I would then commit honorable sacrifice to regain what little honor I can for the greater good.


Why should you be whitelisted?: I believe I would make a good candidate to be whitelisted for Honor Guard as the role itself relies much on being able to follow combat and properly be a body guard, but also that it requires a strong sense of roleplay and understanding of the Covenant emotion and feeling. Honor Guard are fanatical for the Great Journey, they are the best of the best both in skill and their devotion to the path in which all Sangheili walk. I am understanding of the role in which I am requesting and will follow it thoroughly.

Full ban reason: "As an unggoy minor, lit the nuke, then SSD;d in a surgery room when potato asked him about it" 

Appeal details/ Why should you be unbanned: Was wandering around unsure of where to go or what to do, accidentally lit the nuke and then disarmed it before my power cut off due to lightning. Literally my first time on the server and the second attempt to find a way off the covenant ship. First ended with me falling out into the space, the second had me accidentally setting off a nuke. I can understand how it looks but none of this was my intent.
