As you can see by the map above, you will spawn in the Blue area. For now, lets ignore the other boxes and focus on our goal: gearing up. To get to the ship, where the armoury is located, you'll need to get to the umbilicals found on the bottom deck at the very south of the station. To get there from spawn, you'll want to head to the stairs, marked by green on the map, then head down them.

You Have two choices when gearing up, the Anti Boarding armoury Which is located in the room to the left of spawn. This Armoury, however, isn't as well equipped as the ship Armoury. For now, feel free to grab a rifle from there (just incase!) and some ammo, then we'll make our way to the Ship for better equipment. To do this, we'll need to make our way to one of the Four Umbilicals which you can use to cross over to the UNSC Iron Will. Walk over to one of the 4 umbilicals, then left click on it. This should bring up a menu of different locations for you to connect to. You'll want to find the "UNSC Iron Will" then connect to it (by selecting it, then selecting an umbilical to connect to). After you're connected, you'll want to right click and find the "Cross Umbilical" option, to head over to the ship.

now you'll be here, at the stairs at the very east of the station. You'll want to follow the path to the green once again, to get to one of the 3 umbilicals found on the station. From there, left click on it, which should bring up a menu of all available umbilicals to connect you. You'll want to look for the UNSC Bertels in this list, then click confirm.(if you can't find it, read the next paragraph) This should bring up another list of the umbilcals you can connect to. Any one of them should be fine. Once the umbilical is connected, right click on it, then find the option to "Cross Umbilcail" and use that to start climbing through the umbilical to the UNSC. Now you'll want to skip ahead to the UNSC bertels section.
+
If you found the UNSC Iron Will on the list, feel free to skip this. For those of you who didn't, its likely the ship itself has already left. Not to worry though, as command has left a shuttle requsition console, which can be found back near the stairs you walked past to get to the umbilicals, for you to call in a shuttle to join the crew. Click on the console, then wait for the bar to fill up, at which point the shuttle will spawn in and will be able to be connected to by an umbilical. connect the umbilicals then right click it and find the "cross umbilical" option. Use that and wait for your character to climb through the umbilical.

in this picture, you'll see the interface that should pop up when you click the console. This is a picture of the overmap, and on it you should see the station, the shuttle (which you're currently on) and a planet (either Geminus Colony or VT9). You'll also notice the menu that popped up when clicking direct control. This is how you actually control the shuttle, by pressing the arrows you'll increase your speed in that direction (using the X in the center to slow down). Now all you need is the coordinates of the Bertels. You could try asking over comms (using :s for marine comms). If no one responds, its likely the ship is out of range of your communications (or they really don't like you), if this becomes the case, you're pretty much abandoned. The only option at this point would be to look for the ship manually, which would be rather impossible. A good place to start however, would be any planets in the sector. By scrolling down on the helm window, you can see known planets and their coordinates. You can fly their manually, or try autopilot by entering the planet coordinates (or hitting the plot course button near the planet's coordinates) and enabling autopilot.

you'll star at either of the umbilicals seen in the photo, from which point you'll want to head to the stairs and head up, to get to the 2nd deck. There are 3 decks in total, but this guide will only cover the basics to getting prepared and, as such, will have a very limited overview of the decks, for a more in dept view, you'll want to check out the [[UNSC Bertels]] page, which goes into more details about all 3 decks.

now you'll find yourself at the stairs located to the right of this picture, you'll want to work your way up (into the main corridor) then head to the left until you hit the armoury (if you find yourself on the south of the corridor, you'll want to find a door to head to the north section) From there, you can grab your ammo and weapons, aswell as anything else. You can even request a heavy weapon or attachments for your assualt rifle from the office in the armoury, if an IWO is active. That's all this guide will cover, I reccomend you check out the Bertels' wiki page to better familiarise yourself with the layout, it does a far better job of it than me (and even has coloured boxes).

--NOTICE: THIS GUIDE IS STILL UNDER DEVELOPMENT AND AS SUCH MAY BE MISSING VARIOUS PEICES SUCH AS PICTURES--

Welcome to the Server! if you're reading this guide, its likely your first time playing here, this guide is meant to guide you through the basics of each Faction. The guide will cover the starting steps of each 3 of the factions, from spawning in all the way to getting onto your ship and/or gearing up.

The UNSC

Spawning in as the UNSC, you will start on the Orbital Defence Platform ODP Cassius Which is the main defensive holding in the system.

ODPCassius2.jpg

As you can see by the map above, you will spawn in the Blue area. For now, lets ignore the other boxes and focus on our goal: gearing up.

HumanShuttle.png

you should find yourself on this shuttle, albeit it probably alot darker than the above picture. This is a known bug which will likely be fixed in the future, but for now all you want to do is head left until you reach the cockpit of the shuttle (the room at the very left of the picture). Upon entering, you'll want to use the middle most console, which is helms control. Clicking on it and enabling direct control should lead to something like this:

OvermapExample.png

in this picture, you'll see the interface that should pop up when you click the console. Now all you need is the coordinates of the Iron Will. You can fly there manually, or try autopilot by entering the planet coordinates (or hitting the "plot course" button near the planet's coordinates) and enabling autopilot.

Once you get onto the UNSC Iron Will, your next objective is to get geared

Iron Will.jpg

You'll start at the umbilicals, located at the north and south points of the middle of the ship. From here, you'll want to head to the Armoury which can be found not too far from the umbilicals. Do not, you'll want the south room, as the north room is meant for any ODSTs that are in the round. After that, you might end up being called to the briefing room, located just to the east of the armoury, if not, feel free to familarise yourself with the ship until you get orders off someone. Some Useful places have been put into boxes, and the UNSC Iron Will page goes into more information about them

The Covenant

Welcome to the great Journey, grunt and/or Kig Yar! you've been stationed on the SDV Vindicitve Infraction, which is currently assigned to scouting duty in the fringe sectors of the heretic's space! your job is to wipe out any human resistance and secure any sacred artifacts found in the system. Before you can do that, however, you need the correct equipment!

SDV Vindicative Infraction.png

Our goal in this guide is to get from either spawn points ( Red for Unggoy(Grunts) and Blue For Kig Yar (Jackals) ) to the Bridge whilst being fully equipped and ready for combat.

For Grunts, you'll want to head into the door to the right of where you spawn, then open the various crates to get your equipment. Now, Grunts work differently to other species, as they don't breathe oxygen but Methane. This means you'll need a special tank full of methane to survive (which you should start with) and, if you were to run out, you would have to come back to the methane storage room (which is found directly north of your spawn point)

For Jackals, you'll want to start by grabbing an oxygen tank from the room you start in, then heading towards the left until you reach the armoury, where you can find your weapons

Now that you're geared up, you'll want to head to the bridge (which is just left of the area marked in green) to get orders from whoever is in charge. If No one is around to actually give you orders, it'd be a good idea to have a wander around the ship to familairse yourself with it before you attempt to take the ship anywhere. Some good places to start would be the Energy Projector room (which houses the ship's glassing beam) and the room directly next to it, which houses the shield generator. More info on the ship can be found on the SDV Vindicative Infraction's Wiki Page.

The URF

Welcome, freedom fighter! Before you rush out to claim territory from the UEG and UNSC, you should probably get equipped first! This guide will help you get the basic weapons and also explain how you get new and improved weapons to better even the odds against the UNSC.

Rabbit Hole.png

you'll start off in either one of the rooms marked in orange, from there you'll want to head north until you find a very limited armoury. In there, you should find some tactical jumpsuits (which are green) aswell as some gloves, knives and even some M6D magnums. A decent start, but you won't be able to take the surface with just a pistol and jumpsuit! you'll need outside help, which is where the various factions come in. If you head out the rightmost door of the armoury, then head up, you'll hit a blast door. Opening it, you'll come across a clearing with 2 shuttles in it. One of these is a supply shuttle (the white one) which is used to ferry in supplies bought by the officers and commander. The other shuttle (the grey one) is used to go on missions for the 4 factions that you can choose to help (more info can be found Here) to get better equipment. Upon completing the various missions, you'll gain a certian amount of reputation with that faction (the amount gained depends on how hard the mission itself was, which is displayed on the mission selection console found in the shuttle) which, when you gain enough, will unlock new tiers of gear for you to be able to buy from that faction.
