How does your character interact with the world around them and the people in it?: He's an optimistic youth and a bit of a drunk. He's loyal to the people he cares about, and sympathetic towards his enemies. He knows how bad the Covenant are, but has had experiences with them that didn't immediately end in someones death. The duality of war, as it were. He's open to taking prisoners, but isn't afraid to pull the trigger if he has to. His personality around friends could be described as 'Friendly alcoholic with a great amount of care and friendship."

Provide a brief description of your character: 5'9 Anglo-Irish lad spacerborn, his citizenship is Geminus. That's right, a Geminus native. He was born aboard a small shuttle ship, which then landed on Geminus. He grew up happy, friendly, and fierce, having been rather poor in his days. He joined a gang at a young age, being struck into the local URF cell as a child. From there, he grew up as a URF Loyalist... Aye, until he realized the truth of the matter. He saw the holotapes. He saw the videos of people being butchered in the streets by aliens. He heard the planets going dark.

He knew friends, people from those planets. Gone forever. It terrified him. But he knew he had to fight. And sitting around with the URF wouldn't get him anywhere. He went to a local recruiting office, enlisting for the ODST before he was sent to Mars for training. From there, he went through the grueling process of training, through hell and high-water, before he was finally accepted. 

Now, he fights on the frontlines, your average ODST with a streak of mercy to him, ready to protect all the lives he can- Be they human or alien. But with a finger on the trigger.. He's not afraid to take a life or two if they seem like they might be a threat.

What do you think your job is as the role you are applying for?

 The job of the commanding officer as stated is to lead the marines (and by extent ODST) through the round to accomplish the tasks of the UNSC. Their job is also most importanty to provide a fun and enjoyable experience to their subordinates and present new Roleplay opportunities.

Why should you be whitelisted?

I have been playing as the UNSC in total for about nearly two years now (granted in between i had taken a minor break from the UNSC to experience new opportunities in the URF) and in that time i have noticed that the UNSC is lacking in (competent) command players. Most of the round you do not even see a platoon leader, much less an officer and i would like to contribute to solving that issue with contributing to rounds as command roles.

Situation: 


Your fellow Honour Guard has been killed, as well as your prophet, by a human. You saw the human do this and follow him to find a group of humans. After engaging, you manage to kill the offending human, but the others manage to retreat where you could easily follow. What do you do next?

According to Honor guard regulations and the fact that i've already killed the one who dishonored me, my next course of action is alert the battlenet of the prophet's death and either begin guarding the Shipmaster if one is present. Or returning to the Mantle and guarding it until someone of a suitable position appears for me to resume my duties. Depending on circumstances i may instead commit suicide to restore my honor.


Why should you be whitelisted?

  I believe i could add to the general fun and RP of the covenant side, the chance to RP the dynamics of the honored bodyguard of a VIP appeals to me from an RP perspective as an avid fan of the halo games and lore. I generally fulfill the combat requirements a role such as Honor Guard entails and am able to Roleplay to a relatively high degree when required. Ultimately it all boils down to the fact that i believe playing the dynamics that this role entails could make for a great deal of enjoyment for every one involved in both RP and combat situations.

Reason for joining : I have had the covenant whitelist for over a year and am not really happy with the state of it right now and the UNSC seems like a better choice for me. I would rather play UNSC right now rather than any other roles, and having the official title of UNSC faction member would be nice.

Because I feel like there was major miscommunication in the initial conversation with Allakai and the  The Grey Tide, who I know listened to what I had to say, but don't know if they asked the killed players and my teammates, how they felt regarding my actions, which I also udnerstand isn't something that matters in that situation. Anyways, this is my first ban, and I really had to appeal it as I play here daily. So here's why In my opinion, I need to get unbanned:

The round itself started normally, I was playing a bit of a stupidly built character, who I did give a reference picture from Deus Ex, and a detailed description as to not make it just mingy trash. One of the reasons I joined covenant is because I enjoy roleplay.
As the round progressed, I was still on my Walter Simmons character who was a URF Infiltrator, aka the first character I spawned as. My colleague went to the mayor's office, so I followed him in, beforehand announcing my intentions to murder the mayor. I entered the office with my assault rifle that I took out behind close doors, just to be met with a gun trained on my character by the Mayor himself, so because I IC'ly wasn't armed for such a confrontation (lack of protective gear), shot and killed the mayor (Who I initially thought was UEG, like I thought the GCPD were UEG aswell, until I was corrected). My colleague gave himself and myself all access, but as that happened, a doctor saw us and began to scream like a maniac, running around like crazy.

The doctor was kill number two, killed to cut loose ends as I knew he'd snitch, due to his manic behavior. I shot him, dragged and hid him away in the slums, planting a holdout gun next to him. (After the ban I held a conversation with the player who roleplayed as the doctor, who then told me that he clearly understood the reason I killed him for.)

Kill number three, a more brutal kill that sparked the whole "murderbone" trial. The GCPD officer, the only officer on the station. During that kill I had already respawned on another Infiltrator. It took place probably an hour or so after said respawn, but the reason behind that kill was because of the wish to avenge the death of William Westmore, who got gunned down by a UNSC Marine, and I think a character named Sarah, a PMC that put on a whole set of GCPD armor. As they killed my teammate, my cover still wasn't blown on the new character, but he got his foot fractured by a round during the crossfire. The officer was a casualty caused by the fact that I ICly accepted the officers as an active threat.

This is a breakdown of the kills. Was it done in a way that could be considered low rp murderboning? Sure, from an OOC standpoint yes, but from a situational/roleplay standpoint, no. I like the server, I'm on here daily. I thought the point of the URF are to be terrorists, freeing the system by killing active threats to the cause like i did. I do apologise for any inconveniences that I might've caused, and for bugging the admins in DMs. I was never trying to be toxic or rude, just disappointed by the fact we never got to a consensus before such a hefty ban was hammered on my account. How does your character interact with the world around them and the people in it?: 

Vanechka is a person who's relatively disinterested with the underlying goals of other people, they just want to get the day over with minimum causalities - they'll follow orders just fine, but they're not too interested in the actual consequences of orders, except obviously heinous acts. 

With the UNSC, Vanechka sees each and every member - including those they dislike - as people to ensure the well being of. They might not actively help most of the time, but they'll stick around to ensure everyone can lift themselves up, and if they can't, they'll lend a hand if it's truly needed. 

When it comes to civilians, Vanechka is down to earth and understanding of the plights of them - it isn't everyday the military deploys to your home, and starts setting up check points. Lenient to almost a fault, they'll ignore the insults, any hassling, or even thrown punches. When comes down to it, they just want to prevent as much damage as possible, but they realize that stomping down excessive dissent may be required to prevent true harm. 

With the URF, they can sympathize with the troubles - to be ruled and taxed by distant almost uncaring rules, drawing parallels to history, but ultimately disagree with their methods. The less radical among the URF they'll try and capture in a state where they'll be taken alive, but with the more radical, warcrime oriented sects, they see them as nothing more than targets to be eliminated as quickly as possible. 

For covenant, they're genocidal animals suited for nothing but capture and delivering to the appropriate agencies.

Provide a brief description of your character:

Vanechka is a combat technician with a built, bulky build standing around 6'1. Their chief weapons being the tools they strap to themselves to break through fortifications and barricades that enemy combatants have set up. Their main proficiency besides the art of Engineering is the use of their combat shotgun, loaded with buckshot shells appropriate for their breaching, and general close quarters operating.
