How does your character interact with the world around them and the people in it?: Jack carries the pride of the core wherever he goes. He’s been the exemplary example of a UNSC marine by following orders with utmost perfection and discipline.

Provide a brief description of your character: Jack Dourn Mercan was born of the fringes of the UNSC, raised in a large family that upheld loyalty and strict discipline. Once Mercan finished school at 18 he yearned to find these qualities leading him to the UNSC Marine Corps, while in basic training he  received the score of Sharpshooter in the shooting course. With eagerness he enters the core with a desire to prove himself as a true UNSC marine.

How long have you been a member of the Covenant Faction? about a week and a few days, been on longer but was in the URF for abit.

Situation: 

Your fellow Honour Guard has been killed, as well as your prophet, by a human. You saw the human do this and follow him to find a group of humans. After engaging, you manage to kill the offending human, but the others manage to retreat where you could easily follow. What do you do next?   I attempt to kill them for abit, then retreating back and then killing myself to regain honor, when a single human killed my fellow guards sneaked to the prophet and killed him, such dishonor can only be erased by my death. what I mean by sneak is since the covenant elites and other members of the empire be around the prophet normally, like just from patrolling the ship or doing dutys, and a single one manageing to kill my prophet that dishonor only fix is my death after the party who killed them dies, a team killing him might regain some honor. if I kill them all, but a single one my char does not think so.

Why should you be whitelisted? I enjoy protection rp, and I honestly want to join the honor guards, because they are fun to me. I am still only maybe a month at max old to this server, don't really keep track, but I know I could do good service to this role.

general character info: Unngoy is my fun role. They are stupid, cowardly and do what ever they are told unless they have good reason to believe that following orders will get them killed sooner than disobeying them will. Canonically, almost ever Grunt I've played has died some horrible death.

Mep on the other hand is a bit more calculated and thoughtful of his actions. He may hold contempt for the higher castes and loathes working with the lower Unngoy, he will do his mission to the best of his ability and keep his criticisms to himself. He greatly prefers working under Sangheili who have proven themselves capable, as well as those open to advise from their subordinates as appropiate.

Reason for joining : I play Covenant more than UNSC for a variety of reasons, their gear is fun to use and the racial diversity is interesting as well. I would like to be able to play Sangheili minors as well, as I feel they offer the best balance of RP opportunities and action oriented gameplay.

Roleplay Example/History: I've been playing SS13 for just under 6 years now. I've bounced around servers in that time from /tg/ to baystation and even played on places like Aurora or Paradise. Outside of SS13 I've played table top RPGs like D&D, Pathfinder, Vampire the Masquerade and Paranoia to name a few, for the last decade.

More depth with factions details IE: The Covenant are a highly religious, albeit misguided collection of races in constant pursuit of 'The Great Journey', under the belief that they can use Forerunner artifacts to Ascend as they believe the Forerunner did 10,000 years ago. The Prophets (San'Shyuum) are the highest caste and leaders of the Covenant as a whole, dictating what the Covenant does and how their faith applies, the Elites (Sangheili) are the main force of the Military arm and responsible for most, if not all, military accomplishments. Brutes (Jiralhanae) serve as the muscle, preferred servants of the Prophets because of how easy they are to control and less likely to question orders that contradict previous teachings. Kig-Yar and Unngoy serving as the common foot soldiers and fodder for the Covenant forces and effectively slaves as the bottom castes of the Covenant Military.

Reason for joining : I just find the Covenant a more interesting faction then the Innies or UNSC. Their culture and government is just..well...more interesting. 

Roleplay Example/History: I've played on CM, and SS13 in general, for a good 3-4 years, including roles such as XO/SO and Squad Leader. I believe that will help me here, if I was in a Major/Ultra position in-game.

Explain what you would do in the following scenarios and why:


Scenario 1:

You’re on the ONI Aegis and the ONI RD requests a Sierra team to deploy to VT9, as the covenant have been spotted and are attacking. They have not breached the gate and it is unclear as to the size of their forces. What do you do?

prepare for a rapid deployment and assess known information enemy force size, status of the defense and its defenders. there is no need to deploy Spartans unless the base gate falls and the security force is overwhelmed by numbers equipment. or superior tactics or all of the above.
if the time came to deploy ideally we'd drop into the AO. rapidly approach the flanks of hostile attackers. cause as much devastation as possible then EVAC out after the initial attack has been broken and enemy forces have been routed. (and after Assuring Critical ONI Assets are secure.)
Scenario 2:

You’re on the ONI Aegis and receive an urgent request from a Platoon Leader to deploy onto the UNSC Warship as the Insurrectionists have deployed a sizeable force and are taking control of the ship, and arming the nuclear device as they request assistance. What do you do?

Confirm that the platoon lead is the ACO on-board the warship. then assess the situation. Taking control of the ship suggests the UNSC and ODSTs have already tired and failed to repel the Insurrectionists forces from boarding the warship and taking key locations on the ship. and while it is not a priority to ensure UNSC warships survival or continuation of operations in the sector. the ships fate is directly linked to the fate of future operations for oni and spartans in the sector. if the UNSC falls ONI is in danger of being discovered if insurrectionist forces discover the nav chip. without the Marines and ODSTS of the Light brigade spartans may face a ramp up in deployments if hostile forces discover the classified ONI site on VT9.
to prevent possible discovery of ONI and to safeguard ONI's interest and operations in the sector. I would deploy. a quick in and out, to secure the bomb and UNSC's continued command of the UNSC Warship. then go back to standby on the prowler.
Scenario 3:

You’ve been deployed on a mission to give the covenant back their bomb. You manage to arm the bomb, but your fellow spartan has been cut down and his body is being dragged away by the Covenant towards an escape pod. What do you do?

I would be forced to chase after my Battle Buddy to ensure that the classified gear that I and my battle buddy carries is secure. either by destruction. or by the return of the gear to the prowler. if i managed to prevent my battle buddy from being taken i would take the option that was more viable. 
Either A. Destruction of the gear Via completion of my mission. defend the bomb to the bitter end. ensuring the destruction of cov forces in the sector (if EVAC is not possible for whatever reason.) and the destruction of My gear, and the gear of my fellow spartan.
B. Evac with my fellow spartan and his gear. failing my mission in-order to uphold protection of classified gear. I will not be able to deploy again with out somebody to team with me.
There are many ways this situation could go with the many factors found in the field. but these are the choices i'd within reason make.
