General character info: Haplap the (DESTROYER!) Grunt is one of thousands. Constantly forced to "Go here, Go there!" and used as an improv-tu "kicking-thing" by the larger races. Haplap has only two things going for him; an uncharacteristic case of "Intelligence" (Known as having the capacity to reason above "ME DO THIS!", knowing that humans infact do not lay eggs, and an odd "fascination" with medical triage; many important facts a grunt needs to know!) and an unwavering belief in "The Great Journey". Loyally following the will of the San'Shyuum with a quelled fanaticism that leads the grunt to attempt usually nonchalant 'coffee-talk' conversations with the "Greater" races in an attempt to "distinguish" themselves from the other lesser-run Grunts. Having so far proven himself worthy of the title "Ultra!" (But so can everyone if you LMB that button fast enough). In-Combat, Haplap prefers the "arguably un-grunty" way of the "Hit and Run" tactic. Through, when you are a short-stocky creature with clubbed-feet; it is usually more "Hit, fall over- Scream for the Elite to save you: Repeat."
In otherwords.  Haplap is a grunt. Did you expect anything different for a Grunt who is scared of fucking plastic-bags?


Reason for joining: Refugee from the URF. Current situations have made me decide to broaden my horizons and try out the other great factions of the server! (Exempt UNSC. You'll never take me alive, Blackburn!) I've been playing Haplap since day-one that I joined the server and have always been curious in trying out the bigger and "better" races that the Covenant have to offer! That and Deacon. Haplap as a Deacon can no-way shape or form end poorly! Nope- Never! Fanatically revvin' up the local Unggoys into a suicide plasma-grenade charge of hostile forces is a great idea!

Roleplay Example/History: I have a few human characters who've been apart of the server. Maverick Blackstone, my "Researcher, Innie Officer, and UNSC Medical Officer". Garrick Typhon, my Pelican pilot and Combat Techie. And of course, my countless rounds and hours put into Haplap!  As for SS13 in general? I've been playing constantly since 2016 on multiple servers! Mostly BAY and Unspeakable places during most of that time, and have been apart of the Halo-Station server for just around a month now. 

Since i've been playing on the server for a couple of days now, I thought it's about time to join the forum as well and say hello.

How does your character interact with the world around them and the people in it?: Nasoki Chen is usually a very intense, wise cracking person. He’ll go from one minute to explaining orders to screaming at marines why aren’t they moving in a heart beat. Chen always attempts to keep cool and be the marine sgt. you always see in the movies, but he rarely does that ever due to the chaos of war and starts blasting innies away. The bad thing I could draw from Chen is the lack of confidence he has in the marines under him. He’ll even treat some like children or just leave them on the ship. Overall, Chen is a marine who will listen to orders without question, and is a short tempered man with no patience for people wasting his time

Provide a brief description of your character: Chen was born on Reach and was a part of the marshals police force, he was actually quite opposed to the UNSC. He was part of the young group of people that believed that the UNSC played a hand to much in people’s everyday lives, he even felt like this even though he lived on a core planet where the UNSC is the main government and he worked for them. This all changed when he was drafted into the UNSC after his mother had been killed by an innie attack and his father was left emotionally crippled  by the events. He didn’t oppose the draft due to a feeing of duty, or honor, he did it out of rage and how he wanted to get back at the URF for what they did. This rage has followed Chen since the start of his training and still carries on today (also due to the role and rank, I’ll be playing Chen as a more rookie trooper, and I’ll tone it down on the screaming a lot since Chen won’t be PL anymore. I’ll also lower his age and change anything else needed)

General character info: There's not too much to say currently, frankly. He's a kig-yar, fairly mild mannered and tends to end up in support roles such as stabilizing other covvies or doing ship damage control. Isn't particularly bloodthirsty, but he's loyal enough to do what's needed of him. He understands his place in the hierarchy, and likes to display his usefulness to ingratiate himself to superiors.

Reason for joining: After playing around in all the factions for a bit, I found myself having the most fun with the covenant. There's roleplay, there's action, and there's danger, it's fun for me. Plus, aliens are just cool.

Roleplay Example/History: I've floated around SS13 since lunacode but quit forever ago, only recently resurfaced to play again. I've played HRP, LRP and outright chaotic servers in abundance, though my recollection of robustness is fairly rusty now. Otherwise I'm invested in a lot of tabletop games (GURPS, Traveller, etc). I play for the fun and stories, as opposed to racking up kills or end of the round wins.

Situation: 


Your fellow Honour Guard has been killed, as well as your prophet, by a human. You saw the human do this and follow him to find a group of humans. After engaging, you manage to kill the offending human, but the others manage to retreat where you could easily follow. What do you do next?

It would depend on if there is a Shipmaster or not. If there is, after killing the offender I would proceed to return to the vessel to protect the Shipmaster while he is carrying out his duties. If there is not currently a Shipmaster I’d return to either the vessel and guard the Umbilical or remain guarding the umbilical outside the vessel to prevent any heretics from boarding it, but most likely I’d be certain to reboard the vessel and conduct patrols to be certain no heretics have boarded it.


Why should you be whitelisted?

I believe I could be whitelisted for this role because an Honour Guard should be a very good mix between RPing and combat, instead of  attempting to be a combat based role which attempts to kill everything without bothering to think ICly it those actions would be authorized.As being one who quite eagerly plays Shipmaster whenever it is open, I enjoy the moments that a Prophet or Councillor comes aboard a vessel with Ann honour Guard, Though sometimes it’s just a single guard or just a Unggoy textkeeper because of the small amount of whitelisted Honour Guards at the moment. Either way, in the future when Lesser Prophets becomes a playable role once again, I’d like to be able to assist in guarding them as well as providing enjoyment for all those who interact with me.

Reason for joining : I generally like the server, and how it's going. And covernant with how the race is played is just really fun for me.

Howdy! I've been playing for a little while and loitering in the Discord server, might as well make a post here too. I've floated in and out of SS13 for years but only recently mucked about here, mostly as covenant but occasionally URF too. I enjoy Halo as a setting and the server's been fun so far, so hopefully I'll stick around and become more involved in the community!

How does your character interact with the world around them and the people in it?: Darren sees the world as a place in need of change through those who die to fix what is left of it. He knows he is in a war where he could be killed at any moment but still happily ready to die to protect his species

Provide a brief description of your character: Darren Blackthorn is one of 13 Blackthorns to serve in the UNSC.Coming from an Irish family on earth he knew that once the war started he had to be their to protect his planet. Due to his 20:20 vision and hardcore focus he was made a scout sniper. Whilst most of the Blackthorn family are marines and medics, Darren the middle child followed after his oldest brother Nialls an ODST sniper who died in the invasion of reach. He seeks to honor his brother by taking the role he once had

general character info: Cud is a timid down-to-earth Kig Yar, he doesnt feel the need to contest the unggoys in the spot for best grunts because he know that grunts will die sooner or later, often sooner if he encourage the unggoys to take the lead while he enjoy the safety from the back.

Reason for joining : I like to play as space alien more than space human. Also having the power to command unggoy squad would be awesome

Roleplay Example/History: After years of playing SS13 jumping from one server to another im proud to say that my roleplay is mediocre at best, i dont use emote excessively and only do it here and there. At the very least i haven't broken the immersion in any roleplay server i stumble upon (to the best of my knowledge)
