General character info: Kevin Ringer was born into a militaristic family. After serving for years as an ODST, he realized how foolish he was, and he defected to the URF.

Reason for joining : I've tried UNSC and found that it wasn't what I expected to be, I was often on the defensive, I was an LCPL ODST. I always found myself manning ship guns, and I realized how much fun it was to be using guerilla tactics to fight the UNSC and take GC. I also enjoy the away missions, and lowpop teamwork that you never find in the other factions.

general character info: I've been playing a lot of this character. He's a tiny fella, but his heart burns with hatred towards heretics. He also deeply cares for his companions and you usually see them dragging wounded out of the battle.

Reason for joining: Cause I want to play as the brutes and elites, and have some fun RPing as a fundamentalist space jihadist that commits terrible war crimes to heretics.

Roleplay Example/History: I've played a lot of milrp games, including arma, here in ss13 I've played Bay, Aurora and the less roleplay more action CM. I feel like I have a good grasp of how to roleplay a character and take their thoughts and personality in consideration when taking actions. I also understand that while RPing is important, it's very hard to so on the battlefield. I'm also hella robust.

More depth with factions details IE: The covenant is a group of aliens that banded together under the banner of a zealous leadership with very strong religious beliefs. Though I am not familiar with what that religion entails, I've learned to shout "For the great journey!" before going into battle. I understand that this is a very verticalistic society and that one doesn't simply disobey your superiors and somehow get away with it, you'll get beatings or just straight up get killed. This is especially true for those that ARE the superiors since they need to set an example, and their fellows would not tolerate their image being tarnished. They also fucking hate humans, with a passion. As far as I understand it's because of their heresy and I also kinda know that this was some sort of 4d chess conspiracy from the leaders of the covenant. I get the jizz, orders good, oomans bad.

General Character info: Figdip is a very un-educated grunt, considerably slow in many aspects, but he is very enthusiastic about the great journey and will do anything to get there even if it means taking up arms with his fellow unggoy.

Reason for joining: Looking to try out the Covenant for a month or two, possibly stay. URF leadership consists of a stick driving a Honda civic.

Reason for joining : The covenant are my favorite faction, mainly just because of the designs for their bodies and armor, it just really speaks to me. I've always been a fan of halo, and playing as an elite seems really fun, for both roleplay, and combat.

general character info: Nik is a Ruutian Kig-Yar, having served the Covenant most of his life. Being a Kig-Yar, he is a natural marksman and prefers to keep his distance with a carbine rather than up-close with a energy shield and pistol. He usually picks on the unggoy that are lower ranked than he is, and having a general disdain for unggoy, but will follow orders from higher ranks regardless.

Reason for joining :Friend recommended me this server, I've played a bit and really like it. I found that I like playing Covenant the most due to the varying roles each species actually have. Also, their guns and ships are cool.

Roleplay Example/History: I've honestly not played too much on RP servers due to how the servers were run, so I've played off and on different servers for a few years (garrys mod mainly) but I can RP and find it to be fun, especially on this server.

Friend recommended this server, been a long time fan of Halo so I tried it and I really like it.

Explain what you would do in the following scenarios and why:


Scenario 1: 

You’re on the ONI Aegis and the ONI RD requests a Sierra team to deploy to VT9, as the covenant have been spotted and are attacking. They have not breached the gate and it is unclear as to the size of their forces. What do you do?

Ask for clarification on intent of mission, known details on enemy forces, and current status of friendly forces in the area. If there are confirmed sightings of Elites or Brutes and the threat to ONI assets is clear and present, deploy. Otherwise  keep an eye on the situation and wait for escalation to see if your presence is necessary, as ONI guards should be the first line of defense. If deployment is deemed necessary, confirm with RD for objective priority as details emerge, determine if extraction of sensitive materials and personnel or repelling of covenant forces is the more obtainable goal.

Scenario 2:

You’re on the ONI Aegis and receive an urgent request from a Platoon Leader to deploy onto the UNSC Warship as the Insurrectionists have deployed a sizeable force and are taking control of the ship, and arming the nuclear device as they request assistance. What do you do?

Confirm with CO or aCO of the Marine forces, if none exists, and the threat is credible/marines have sustained major loses/loss of the Warship is imminent but preventable , board the Light Brigade, disarming the nuke should be priority one, with repelling the URF/assisting shipside marines being the secondary objective before extraction. If time constraints mean the Warship cannot be boarded and retaken with reasonable chance of success before the nuke detonates, or if it becomes apparent during deployment the nuke cannot be disarmed in time, have the AI carded, the Nav computer destroyed and abandon ship. If this conclusion is reached before deployment, suggest this course of action for the marines.

Scenario 3:
You’ve been deployed on a mission to give the covenant back their bomb. You manage to arm the bomb, but your fellow spartan has been cut down and his body is being dragged away by the Covenant towards an escape pod. What do you do?

Priority one is to recover or destroyed the downed Spartan, the Covenant cannot be allowed to to take the gear. If recovery of team seems unlikely, destroy the body and use the escape pod. If recovery of team is probable, retreat to exfil with wounded/dead Spartan causing whatever collateral to the covenant you can on the way to extraction.
