What are some examples of good Covenant Roleplay that you have been a part of?

Playing as Ultra and getting into a lengthy discussion with Fupfup about whether or not a Huragok was communicating to him that the Flood were the destroyers of the Forerunners and the position Thytan 'Waramee took which was that they were left behind when the Forerunners ascended. Then later on, talking to a Yanmee and Jiralhanae that I escaped on about what was heretical and what wasn't on Geminus while trying to find our way off.

Taking command, remaining on the Unyielding Transgression and organising the faction so that they can properly contest the UNSC, complete the objectives and enjoy the round.



Why should you be whitelisted?
I know that some Shipmasters aren't on as early as I am and that some do not want to play Shipmaster all the time, so I want to take a turn on that to ensure that the faction has proper leadership when I play. I do enjoy playing a leadership position, but do get quickly burnt out after a round like anyone else.

How does your character interact with the world around them and the people in it?: Amos Hames is a simple man, well-mannered, yet none of that is shown when speaking to the everyday man. Infront of his superiors he's understandably calm and collected, respectful as to avoid being offensive, agreeing to do whatever he's told to do without really thinking about the consequences. 

As mentioned above, infront of the everyday man, Amos is somewhat of an ass, annoying and somewhat of a nuisance, having a rather shitty behavior that can ruin the good first impression he might've made. Though he's not a bad person, he's annoyed easily by simple, meaningless things, which make him unbearable to listen to or have a proper conversation with. At the end of the day, he's hard-working and strong-willed, wanting to learn more and improve his overall knowledge of the world around him.

Provide a brief description of your character: In his early-to-mid thirties, he's a rather tall man with a mesomorphic build and a better than average muscle mass, that has been somewhat maintained through hard work that is most of the time hands-on. His hair is short, reddish-brown in coloration, haircut's a fade, with the sides being short and gradually fading downwards, while the hair on his scalp was more pronounced. His cheeks and chin somewhat bare, and his eyes a dark green color.

Initially he was a senior engineer, stationed on a small mining vessel near Mars' moon, Phobos. Not being a major supporter of the UNSC, he was initially against their fight with the brewing rebellion in the outer rim of colonies, working hard for his paycheck throughout the duration of the war. Ofcourse, the waterfall began to run dry, with the majority of resources and money being diverted towards the war effort, the more it progressed, the difficult it became for the blue collar worker to put food on the table. The number of recruits skyrocketed, each and every one of them was fed and was paid well-enough to be consider acceptable to enlist. So he did so, enlisting for the UNSC at the age of twenty-seven, his magister degree in engineering being a good platform for him to step on and get him approved for something more than a simple grunt.

Explain what you would do in the following scenarios and why:


Scenario 1:

You’re on the ONI Aegis and the ONI RD requests a Sierra team to deploy to VT9, as the covenant have been spotted and are attacking. They have not breached the gate and it is unclear as to the size of their forces. What do you do?

Contact the RD and request more information, including the approximate size of the enemy force, and likewise whether they have requisitioned help from Marines or ODSTs from the Light Brigade first. If the force attacking is large enough, and marine and ODST reinforcements have already been defeated, I would deploy with the standing objective of securing ONI intelligence, enacting the Cole Protocol on the base, and securing the research director. 

Scenario 2:

You’re on the ONI Aegis and receive an urgent request from a Platoon Leader to deploy onto the UNSC Warship as the Insurrectionists have deployed a sizeable force and are taking control of the ship, and arming the nuclear device as they request assistance. What do you do?

Since time is of the essence if the nuclear device is indeed armed, I would ensure that the Platoon Leader is the acting CO, and deploy to secure the nuclear device and kill any Insurrectionists along the way. Since the Insurrectionists have boarded the vessel, and reached the nuclear device, it is presumed that the force is large enough to warrant a response and the marine defense is already dead.

Scenario 3:

You’ve been deployed on a mission to give the covenant back their bomb. You manage to arm the bomb, but your fellow spartan has been cut down and his body is being dragged away by the Covenant towards an escape pod. What do you do?

Leave the bomb to engage the forces capturing the MJOLNIR equipment, and recover the Spartan's corpse. After ensuring the destruction of the armor through the internal self destruct mechanism, I would then return to the bomb to ensure the detonation of the device, accomplishing my mission and preventing the loss of MJOLNIR equipment. 

Alternatively, knowing defusal time requirements for Antimatter bombs, if the timer was less than 60 seconds, I would engage the Covenant taking the corpse and protect the body, likely near an escape pod. Just before the detonation of the bomb, I would either load the corpse into an escape pod with me or leave the body on the ship to be turned to ash by the antimatter bomb, taking the pod to safety, completing my objective, and ensuring the destruction or recovery of the technology. Once on the ground, I would requisition a ship from nearby UNSC forces for transport back to the Light Brigade.
