Always there to pound his resolve into the enemy quickly and skillfully.

Which role is your character's main(ex: Technician, Marine, etc): EVA Marine

general character info: John Eden used to be a Janitor for the UNSC, But when his fellow Janitor was attacked by members of the ODST He knew that the UNSC was just another front for the UEG's bureaucracy, From that day forward he became an aspiring member of the URF Insurgency

Reason for joining : I just feel as though the URF is the most entertaining faction, that I would like to consistently play.

  Medical6's Covenant Application
Posted by: portalguy209 - 01-23-2020, 12:29 AM - Forum: Finished Applications - Replies (1)

Ckey: Portalguy209

Discord name: Medical6#1560

In-character name: Fizud | Von | Kaso 'Srazum

general character info:

Fizud doesn't really stand out much from your average Grunt. He's a four feet Major that, much like other Unggoy within the Covenant, isn't too intelligent. He's as simple as it gets, with his only real trait being that he's fairly optimistic and stupidly brave, and follows the Journey more out of loyalty than any sort of fear (not to say that the fear doesn't exist, of course.) Another thing to note; Fizud REALLY likes big guns. At least, the ones he's permitted to use. If it's a Pulse Turret or Plasma Projector, the Unggoy will jump in glee as he has a better weapon for MAXIMUM destruction! Grenades are cool too, I guess.

Von is a competent yet opportunistic, greedy, and money-driven Jackal with no real qualities that are outside of combat. The Jackal keeps to his pirate-like, maybe even kleptomaniacal desires, stealing whatever items or resources the UNSC had he could potentially sell or simply keep as trophies or "trinkets." His Combat Capabilities come from him being a Pirate before the Covenant initially engaged with the UNSC, and by the Human-Covenant War, the Jackal found his calling. Soldier-work. For what better way is there to gain trinkets than pillaging the lands we invade, then glass? Truly, this Jackal "loves" the Great Journey.

Kaso 'Srazum Is a Sangheili Minor. Born and raised to the warrior-culture of the Sangheili, he would join the Covenant as a Minor not only to prove his devotion to the Great Journey and the Covenant, but to hopefully earn a name for himself through his deeds and achieve a rank he's earned.

Reason for joining: (IC Reasoning: [Kaso] To prove himself in battle and make a name for himself in the Covenant Army.) OOC is: I just love the Covenant. From their lore, to the way they're played and portrayed in all the Halo Games, they're simply a charming faction I love. And during my years of playing Halo Spacestation, playing as Kig-Yar and Unggoy, I've felt like I've gained enough knowledge from watching others to make this application, and I'm confident enough to try my hand at other roles, especially the Sangheili.

Roleplay Example/History: I started roleplaying on Garrys Mod with HL2RP and some MilitaryRP. Eventually landing myself on Halo RP's "High Charity Networks" Server, a server primarily focused around the Covenant and their adventures against the UNSC. I primarily roleplayed as a Jackal, and was promoted to Murmillo for show of competence, and temporary Commander due to our own Commanders absence. I've also been playing on Space Station 13 for about a year or so (from my knowledge T'Voan wasn't a Whitelist before) and some TnB Terminator Roleplay (HL2 and Terminator) here and there. I know how to use grammar and I'm an adept when it comes to Halo Lore.

More depth with factions details IE:

If we're talking depth; let's talk about the different species in the Covenant and their respective roles. We'll go from the highest, to the lowest. Starting with;
San'shyuum. San'shyuum are the leaders of the Covenant, being the first founding member, the "Father" of the Covenant essentially. They control more political and religious affairs, and can take control of a situation if it becomes a religious matter. The three highest leaders and well known that are San'shyuum are; The Prophet of Regret, the Prophet of Mercy, and the Prophet of Truth.

Sangheili. The second to join the Covenant. The Sangheili are a warrior-species that stand 7-8 feet tall, and at the time were the backbone of the Covenant Army. They prioritize Military over all else, and show themselves to be extremely intelligent and skilled in the art of battle, being born and raised to fight. This is why we often see them either as Leaders of Fleets or Battalions (Field Marshall and Shipmaster) or in more "Specialized" Operations. Such as the Silent Shadow or Special Ops Sangheili we see in Reach.

Kig-Yar are the bloodthirsty and deadly Marksman and Combatants the Covenant Army. Starting out as Pirates and eventually joining the Covenant after the war between the Kig Yar and Covenant, caused by Kig Yar Pirates attacking a small fleet entering their home system. Despite the firepower, numbers, and general strength of the Covenant, the Kig Yar used Y'Deios system to its advantage, using the systems dense asteroid belt to delay or halt the Covenants larger vessels. However, this didn't mean the Kig Yar were winning. Far from it. The Kig Yar realized that they wouldn't win the war, and ultimately, the opportunity to profit off of trade was a better benefit than continuing an unwinnable war. This would later culminate into the Letters of Marque, commissions from the Ministry of Tranquility to engage in services of the Covenant. Really though, it was an excuse to let them continue their pirate-like lifestyle.
These Kig-Yar, despite their small size, are not to be trifled with, especially their subspecies, the T'vaoans, who are fast, lethal fighters that often use speed, agility, and manuverability to their advantage. Whereas their more common bretheren, while not nearly as great as Skirmishers (T'vaoans,) had their own advantages. Such as being expert marksmen, scouts, or even frontline combatants due to their use of Shields and Plasma Pistols. But they're mostly either a Scout Group or Assault Group.

Unggoy are an underappreciated part of the Covenant. Being the lowest in the Covenant Army, these adorable fighters didn't join out of mutual benefit or were persuaded. They were forced into the Covenant as Cannon Fodder, and their role says as much. They're the largest in the Covenant Army, yet also the weakest, bearing the bear-minimum of weaponry such as Plasma Pistols and Needlers, the Needler being their only good weapon available, and are the quickest to die due to their lack of armor, bearing only Body Armor and nothing more. Despite this, if sheer numbers and proper tactics are used (and grenades, don't forget the grenades) the Unggoy can be a fairly frightening foe on their own.

Jiralhanne are the last and most recent of the Covenant Army. These lads are MAD. They're large, strong, fairly unpredictable in terms of how they can act, and are considered to rival even that of the Sangheili Elites. However, this is mostly all they have. The Jiralhanne may be tanky fighters, said even being able to DESTROY a Spartan in Close Quarters, but ultimately, they're brutes. They're simple-minded with simple tactics, and can be killed if engaged in long range or you have the appropriate weapon to deal with them. They also have Leadership Roles, but nowhere near the extent of Sangheili. Jiralhanne roles are more akin to Squad Commanders or Chieftans of their own Brutes. But it's not often to see a Brute lead a fleet. At best a ground force.

Criticism is always appreciated, and I hope I'm accepted to join the Great Journey!

Nova Storm: T'vaoan Race + Covenant Empire Application
Posted by: Nova_Storm - 01-22-2020, 09:36 PM - Forum: Finished Applications - Replies (1)

Ckey: n0va_St0rm

Discord name: Nova Storm#7014

In-character name: No'var

General character info: A male T'vaoan [Haven't been whitelisted yet] with a cybernetic right eye and minor-PTSD. Had been taken by the Covenant Empire at a young age from his home world on Y'Deio and was put into a harsh sangheili clan that de-valued the T'vaoan people to a point where the other sangheili treated them like grunts, low-class pawns in a pointless war.

After the year of intense training and somewhat, harsh training from the sangheili clan members. That being physical punishment for disobeying orders or in general, somewhat torturing No'var for the fact that his race to the sangheili's eyes in the clan was nothing more than a tool with a gun.

No'var now being one of the better T'vaoan with his shooting skills also has skills ranging form minor-pilot to engineering with his weapons tech and modification skills. These skills have been highlighted in his application to join the Empires forces and get away from the sangheili clan that despise his existence.

This all links to his minor-PTSD and moodswings sometimes he can lost himself but this is only very rear occasions. Although while he is around other sangheili he tends to get quiet and timid due to his conditioning back in his old clan.

No'var is a good person but had been abused a hell of a lot when he was younger in a clan he was forced into joining. Join or die was his choices. Hopefully he can have a better life away from the past.

Reason for joining: Am a fan of halo and I am looking for a more roleplay related faction. Kangarat recomended me the Covenant Empire because of the RP side of the game. Whitch i have experance in with lots of RP and story writeing.

Roleplay Example/History:

Example: /me The purple spined, lightly armoured T'vaoan moves quietly along the dim and darkened hallway of a UNSC frigate holding a slightly worn, Covenant Type-51 Carbine Rifle, the emergency power was online with red lights dotted across the metal floor panels and walls guiding whoever sees them to the EVAC pods. Sparks flash in the darkness from broken electronics and busted out hull and doors due to the fire fight all across the vessel. No'var hears some chatter form a few UNSC marries as he mutters to himself "Shit... Humans..." as he darts into a maintenance area due to the heavy door being forced open and dwells in the darkness for them to walk past, being as quiet as he could to not alert attention to his location.

History: I have a long history of roleplay experience. The main rp experience I have is that I help run a star trek roleplay server on second life. I am a Commodore and I own my own starship and have to manage my crew in voice RP related story scenarios I write out for them and run the event every week.

Other experience is mainly hobby experience from serves like this one that I wish to join and other places like Garrys Mod for an example. I am a story writer and a very-experience roleplayer.

More depth with factions details: I'd like to possibly be able to have access to all the T'vaoan Race roles in the Covenant Empire and possibly roles that range from weapons tech to sniper which will be the main roles I will be taking as this character. He has no medical experience or science but basic combat first aid is it for No'var.

So anything minor-engineering or sniper or recon roles. Possibly looking at working and fighting alongside my sangheili brethren.

[NOTE I HAVE ADDED AN IMAGE OF THE CHARACTER SETUP ON YOUR SERVER. NOT A FINAL VERSION. WILL CHANGE THINGS LATER.]

Reason for joining: i've been playing minor covenant roles for a long time and wanted to experience the other covenant roles

Roleplay Example/History: i have been playing on halostation for about 3 months and have played on CM and goonstation

  Complaint about CommanderXor
Posted by: roushguy - 01-22-2020, 08:50 AM - Forum: Finished Applications - Replies (3)

With a grand total of TWO Covenant on, the lone ONI scientist played by Xor proceeded to build a warmech and a bramble thicket of tank traps and barb wire. Even after telling the Covenant AI to try and get them to surrender, they chose instead to abuse their HRUNTING to single-handedly powergame their way to victory with impossible to breach defenses for the (again) TWO COVENANT ON.

This sort of toxic, powergame defense is appalling, especially so on lowpop with virtually nobody on.

VonWolfe

Discord name (username####):

Character Name(s):
Octavian Blaze (Executive Officer)

Do you understand the RoE?
Yes.

Do you understand that you are not above the law, and maybe persecuted for not following the RoE?
Absolutely.

Do you understand that you can be removed from the whitelist at any given time, based on your behavior, even when not playing the role you applied for?
By all means.

What do you think your job is as the role you are applying for?
I believe the job as Captain of the UNSC vessel within the system is primarily (OOC job) to ensure that the players within the game are having fun in a reasonable manner. And the way a Captain commands can lead to either great fun or an uproar of disappointment. For instance, if you have multiple EVA marines, who all would love to board a Covenant or URF vessel and instead you send them planetside, there are multiple mistakes with that. The first being that it's a major waste of resources that could otherwise be useful elsewhere. As well as that, people who are excited about doing a particular thing will usually do that particular thing better than anything else. Motivation can usually lead to anything being done in-game.

(IC Job) Icly, I believe that the Captain's job is based on maintaining UNSC control within the system, while also display a sense of authority and safety for the citizens of Geminus. For the Marines, Spartans, and ODSTs under the Captain's command, that job goes into multiple steps of utilizing each individual with a purpose and based on their needs and what they can do. For instance, if you have a medic and instead send them into the thick of combat where they will most certainly die, then it is nothing but a wasted life. But if you have them manning a FOB and treating any wounded who return to that FOB, then that could be seen as a good use of resources. Along with that, their job is to also maintain low losses when possible, and instead of operating as an overwhelming force, they should instead operate with a thought towards tactics and how one could either defend or attack a location without a major loss of UNSC personnel.

Why should you be whitelisted?

I believe I should be whitelisted because over the past month, I've managed to do fairly well as an XO, who is practically already a Captain in the whole sense of the word except just lacks the rank. I believe I'm ready for a 'promotion' to that rank and could do well in such a position. (As well, I have seen the lack of Captains who play, so it'd be nice to have a few more playin' 'em.)

  Staff Report - Koenigsegg
Posted by: ArithionAshvor - 01-22-2020, 05:00 AM - Forum: Finished Complaints - Replies (1)

Office Of Investigations Forum

Your CKEY/BYOND username: Ashvor

Admin's CKEY/BYOND username: Koenigsegg

Details of complaint: My complaint is about how Koenigsegg handles Staff Reports and similar situations. More over, I don't believe he acts in a way the represents the Server and Admin Team well. This is also echoed by some others on the Admin team. But one complaint, one Staff Member.

Let's tackle these one at a time with examples. First, the most recent that stands out to me. Handling of the Staff Report against McLovin.

We have a staff report about a Admin/Mod promoting harassment of a member of this community. On top of harassing them via name changing. Harassment is harassment, first off. This has been noted before on the server and the Admins have no problem clamping down when it happens to "certain" people. Either the Admins follow the rule to the T, or not. Cherry picking what cases of harassment to punish and not punish exposes a dangerous duality of the Server Administration. Unless of course you are Koen handling a case regarding a buddy of yours like McLovin.

Case in point, Riley gets "vibe checked" and of course they did get real harassment I'm not disputing that. I'd go as far as to say Riley brought it on themselves with the constant Anime chat and memes, and playing into it by responding and not ignoring/blocking the people, you get my point though. But the Admins were on top on handling it. Going as far as to ban people who were doing and threaten an entire community to keep them from being harassed.

Not to mention Rule #6. Which is completely based on an Admin's tolerance to none server rule related conversation. Which is partly why I take this route with the Staff Report. I can't talk it out with Koenigsegg for fear I will be banned under Rule #6. Pretty easy to silence anyone who wants to speak out about problems in the Administration when you have a rule that bans anyone for trying to DM it to a member of Staff.

I bring this up because of Koen's handling of the SovietCyanide's Staff Report. Particularly a couple key notes in what he says. It isn't about the content someone is harassing someone with? Its about the person? This conflicts with what was done above when people were @Dr.Riley and Vibe check. Which saw the Administration clamp down on anyone posting @s and vibe checks directed at that person. Then instead of simply stating he would look into the issue, he lectures the person about his reputation. Profiling someone and taking a complaint they have (A valid one given how hated harassment is handled on Halo Station), instead of handling the harassment report? Doesn't sound like how an Head Admin should be dealing with Staff Reports. Isn't he suppose to take a impartial stance and not defame the victim, while he tries to defend his fellow Admin? Note this is a response after SovietCyanide's reply where he states he tried to ask Mclovin to stop via DMs. And the Admin evoked Rule #6 by telling him to "Fuck out of my DMs.". Guess you can't even tell your harasser to stop because you break the rules when doing so.

The problem is furthered by Koen simply writing this off as "You reap what you sow.". So basically, if you act badly you get what you deserve? He also writes of McLovin's actions as "Harmless" when contrary to how the Admin team handles other similar situations like @Dr.Riley and saying vibe check as Harassment? Further exposing hypocrisy among the rules and how the Administration handles cases. Further directing that this entire situation was against SovietCyanide because of his actions. Surely this couldn't be because he is best pals with McLovin and is handling this out of care for his friend instead of accounting this like a proper Head Admin.

I feel his actions and handling of Staff Report should be reviewed. Maybe Staff Reports need to be handled with more than one Admin in order to get a better census and reasoning than letting one Head handle it all with his opinions alone being the deciding factor. There is clearly a lack of oversight regarding these Staff reports.

Rules For Posting:

Disrespectful behavior unbecoming of a Head Administrator. Failure to enforce rules of the server and enforcing violation of rules of the server. Particularly, by condoning McLovin's behavior and stating the person he was harassing and promoting harassment against, got what he deserved for daring to question and speak out against an Admin. It's hard to say what rules, because there are no rules for Admins/Mods to follow listed. So how can you really report them for any rule breaks?
° No harassment of other players. If you have an issue you can take it to the player complaints forum. If you have nothing really to show there, then you likely have nothing of value to spout in OOC about them.

1. No useless/nonsense posts.

Posts that aren't relevant in any way, shape or form will be deleted. Posts that don't contribute in any way will also be removed. Opinion posting will be removed.

If you're just posting to say you hate the admin in question, your post will be deleted. If you're just posting to say you think they're nice, your post will be deleted.

DO NOT POST, UNLESS YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO CONTRIBUTE IN A USEFUL MANNER. Repeat offenders may be banned if it warrants it.

2. This is STRICTLY for complaints about staff.

This is not about how you should be unbanned. This is not about how you hate a member of staff for banning you. This is for complaints about how member of staff has acted during their duties..

3. Posts here will be taken very seriously. It is expected that the posts will be written seriously.

Callings names, acting immature, posting flame posts without evidence, etc. will not be taken seriously. This is expected from everyone posting in an admin complaint thread.

4. Threads should be limited to one incident only.

This helps prevent two issues. One is that multiple incidents can get easily mixed up in a thread and eventually devolve it into becoming a peanut gallery, and two, it ends up causing an effect that hides multiple incidents under the guise of one. If you have a separate incident, please make a new thread instead of tacking it onto another one.

5. Additional

Threads without a resolution in 24 hours may be bumped for a response.

Regardless of the outcome, making multiple complaints about the same admin repeatedly without good reason is not allowed.

By posting an official complaint, you acknowledge that you may very well get someone punished per the head administrators judgement, including but not limited to a removal of rank or a strike against the staff member in question. If you do not want action taken against the staff member, you may try other avenues of approaching the issue such as talking to a head administrator in private or talking with the offending staff member and trying to resolve it with them first.

Accessing ONI Section I File# 22-468206-051

From: [REDACTED]
BCC: CINCONI, XEG
Subject: Short Notice Briefing

This transmission will have been beamed to you on location through the slipspace communications array mounted on the Dante before it left [REDACTED].  Do not reply. The ship you are searching for is operating under the callsign Achlys and is believed to have gone missing in the coordinates provided. Your mission is to ascertain the current status of the ship and react accordingly to data uncovered in your investigation, as well as destroy any navigational data on board the ship through Cole Protocol. It comes from an amalgamation of multiple ONI departments and is considered top priority for you and the men under your command. The following information has been provided to you specifically under a strict need-to-know basis.

 1. The Achlys is confirmed to have been boarded by Covenant forces in their final transmission. Any nonhuman entity is considered to be eliminated with extreme prejudice. The location of Earth must be safeguarded by any means necessary. The Dante has been outfitted with a micro MAC cannon for disposal of the ship, to be used in extreme circumstances only. This information is provided under assumption that the marines you have been allotted cannot, under hypothetical circumstances with utmost regard to collected onsite information used to degrees of computational accuracy, complete their mission with an unexpected mortality rate of 99.9%. Addendum-01: If recon, or a loss of recon, indicate the Achlys has been compromised beyond retrieval, the Dante has full authorization to utilize the on board micro MAC cannon to destroy the Achlys, regardless of passengers or unforeseen external threat.
 2. Any surviving humans that may have been spared by Covenant forces or survived until your arrival through other means are suspected to be Insurrectionists and other terrorists of the state. Their survival can only mean that they are working with the Covenant and/or failed to follow through with United Nations Space Command Emergency Priority Order 098831A-1 themselves and are considered traitors to the UNSC, under articles JAG 845-P and JAG 7556-L, committing treason which is justifiable grounds for execution.
 3. One or more ONI Operatives from Section III may or may not have been implanted into your troops with strict orders to secure top secret data on the ship and ensure that all survivors of this operation are permanently silenced when the operatives believe the time has come to eliminate them. No living being will be authorized to leave the Achlys under any circumstances unless those operatives fail their mission. If aforementioned operatives fail to dispatch any being considered living, aforementioned living creature, human or covenant, is to be held in strict isolated containment until such time that the Dante has returned to the designated rendezvous site.
If any of the above conditions are exposed to any living person you will face prompt and immediate execution from sleeper agents placed within your own crew, including aforementioned operatives operating under your command whose names and ranks will remain undisclosed. All operatives are under strict orders to eliminate yourself as well as identified double agents that are under assumption that they, or yourself, can expose ONI directives to anyone not involved. Consider this footnote your final and only warning, Commander.

OOC Notes and Elaborations:

 1. This gamemode is based on the novel/animated film Mona Lisa. It has focus on survival horror and fighting against stacked odds. The intent is for players to write their own story in an atmospheric environment but the gamemode does not follow the novel/film to the letter. Making subtle references to them will give you brownie points with me, whining about the fact that it doesn't follow the narrative to a T will get you on my shitlist. It's a game. Treat it as one and enjoy it for what it's worth.
 2. There will still be a roleplay expectation in this gamemode. Marines are expected to stay in uniform and listen to their chain of command to the best of their abilities. Acting in an LRP behavior will still get you banned. A prisoner's mind could be broken by what they've witnessed, but at least do it tastefully without screaming and turning on the capslock cruise control.
 3. Using this flavor text letter to metagame IC is against the rules. Unless you're the CO and can make a cool briefing out of it without giving away too much to make an Operative shoot you, which they will, and you might get job banned.
 4. ONI Operatives will shoot other marines. It's supposed to happen. Admins will not get involved in FF incidents. that being said, Operatives shooting people on the Dante will get them job banned and possibly ban banned.
 5. Marines don't need to shoot prisoners or covenant. It's not even encouraged. That said, prisoners and covies don't need to be friendly. Henry still beat up Lopez to get on that last escape pod, and Covenant have been committing a mass genocide for decades. If a prisoner wants to self antag, they have every right to. If a marine wants to shoot a covie, they have every right to.
 6. The Commander doesn't need to stay on the Dante as I can understand now ahead of time the job will get boring. That said, if the CO dies, the marines will lose the round.
 7. Prisoners will have seemingly meta knowledge about flood they can choose to divulge to marines. This has a limit. No prisoner is going to know about super cool John Halo working with the Gravemind on Installation 00 in Halo 3 and there was friendly floods and a giant talking hentai food from hell. When in doubt, play dumb and ease down on knowledge.
 8. Covenant Prisoners: You might get shot. Not a single admin wants an ahelp because you wanted to be Henry and got BTFO by a marine. Covies have been glassing human colonies for decades by now. Take one for the team.
 9. Do not spoil the game for other players. Booting it up by yourself and trying to bomb through it with meta-knowledge is not the intent of the gamemode. It is designed for player enjoyment via atmosphere and tension. Taking away from these elements defeats the purpose and ruins the experience.
