Firefight is a PVE gamemode, where a team of players must hold out against a horde of AI enemies until evac arrives.

Generally, this plays almost exactly like the Firefight gamemode in the Halo games; players will face waves of AI enemies, with each wave growing gradually more and more difficult by featuring both increased numbers and more difficult enemies. Supply drops will land around the map between waves, allowing players to stock up on resources. The round ends when either the players successfully evac in the dropship when it arrives, or when all players are killed.

Gametypes

Firefight: The default form of Firefight. Players spawn in as various UNSC roles, ranging from Marines, to ODSTs, to Spartan-IIs. They must hold out against Covenant forces.

Crusade: A Covenant variant of Firefight. It is identical to Firefight, except that players spawn in as various Covenant species and roles, facing UNSC forces.

Stranded: A variant of Firefight, but with a twist. UNSC players must hold out against tides of Flood-infested corpses raiding their position.
