People die when shot enough times. This article explains how to help them not die.

What makes a person die?

A person only dies when their brain becomes dies. If it says NECROTIC in the body scanner, they're gone.

Blood oxygenation below 85% will slowly damage the brain. Oxygenation decreases due to heart and lung damage AND bloodloss. The lower oxygenation is, the faster the brain dies.

Toxins will also chip away at subject's internal organs, including the brain, but they'll destroy the liver first.

Missing a head also means the heart can't physically pump blood into the brain, so the head will need to be reattached as soon as possible, but even then it's unlikely you can save them.

Oh god, he's dying

Buying time

Slow that down by doing the following:

  1. Dexalin Plus increases blood oxygenation up to 80%. Available in vendors.
  2. CPR, Triadrenaline and Defibrilators restart the heart, allowing it to pump blood. Triadrenaline is available in vendors. CPR is performed by repeatedly clicking on the subject with help intent and will also make them breathe. Keep going even after the ribs break.
  3. Stasis bags slow down metabolism and rate of necrosis significantly. Available in vendors.
  4. Biofoam quickly repairs organ damage, internal and external bleedings and broken bones. Available in most First Aid Kits.
  5. Bicadrine helps stop bleedings, in high doses will even stop internal ones. Available at vendors and in most First Aid Kits.
  6. Peridaxon will slowly repair internal organs. Must be made through chemistry.
  7. Inaprovaline prevents cardiac arrests and suffocation. Available at vendors.
  8. Dylovene helps with highly unlikely toxic damage. Mixes with Inaprovaline to create Tricordrazine which slowly heals brute and burn damage and is otherwise useless for stabilizing subjects. Available in Toxin First Aid Kits.

Remember that chemicals only work when the heart is beating.

Immediate damage

Taking damage causes pain, hurts internal organs and causes bloodloss either through bleeding or vaporization of blood. Excessive pain causes cardiac arrests.

Biofoam, Bicadrine and Tricordrazine fix bleedings caused by brute damage and treat brute damage.

Kelotane, Dermaline and Tricordrazine treat burn damage.

Iron, IV Drips with blood and Nutrition will restore blood levels. Click on an IV drip with a blood bag in hand, then drag the IV drip over onto the subject to hook them up to it. Multiple IV drips can be attached to one subject. O+ blood works with every type of subject.
