The Unggoy are native to the planet of Balaho. They were used as slaves, laborers, or cannon fodder. Generally poor combatants due to cowardice, lack of tactical aptitude, and being poor shots; they are often deployed in large numbers to compensate. They can wield two-handed weapons with just one hand, due to their strong physical structure despite being small framed. They have a bitter rivalry with the Kig-Yar race, due to them encroaching on Kig-Yar territory and displacing their nests.
Ranks of the Unggoy
Ultra: The Ultra is the highest ranked Unggoy there can be. You start with the standard plasma pistol, two grenades, and half decent armor. The Ultra typically lead Squads of Unggoy BUT they are also permitted to command Kig-Yar Minors this doens't mean they will listen.
Specops: The Specops is the third highest Unggoy rank, second to only Ultra. You start with a Carbine, plasma pistol, two grenades and the ability to become invisible. The Specops can command all Unggoy below him.
Major: The Major is the second rank for the Unggoy race. You start with your standard plasma pistol, two grenades, and slightly better armor than the Minors. You can command small squads of Minors.
Minor: The lowest rank for the Unggoy, Minor. You start with the standard plasma pistol, two grenades, and the worst armor in probably all of the Covenant. The Minor can order literally no one.
