The UNSC Bertels is the main UNSC combat vessel in the 111 Tauri system, although recent reinforcements from High Command have been seen travelling to Geminus City Colony.

The Bertels is equipped with 3 weapon types: A MAC Cannon, Missiles and Deck Guns.
All of these weapons are highly effective against the bare hull of a ship, however, Covenant ships are likely to be outfitted with a shield. The Bertels' MAC cannon is capable of depleting this shield in two hits, making it the most important weapon against the Covenant. Until the shield is depleted, the Bertels has reduced effectiveness against the Covenant.

The first deck of the Bertels contains:
*the main bridge (mid/east)
*officer's quarters (east)
*various hygiene and comfort related rooms
*minor crew armories
*an auxilliary fusion generator
*individual weapon emplacement controls (west)
*stairs down (just east of bridge, marked by deck number signs.)
The most important room on deck 1 is the Bridge, which contains a wide array of consoles, ranging from squad overwatch consoles to ship-focused navigation and weapons consoles.

Deck two is the main deck of the bertels, containing most of the equipment and rooms used in normal operation.
The western section contains:
*the MAC cannon
*the briefing room (south of MAC)
*the mess hall
*the main armory
*marine bunks and hygiene facilities
*Vehicle bays, accessible via the hangar bay.
*stairs to deck 3's ODST area. (Marked by deck number signs)
The middle section contains:
*the main hangar bays
*the medbays and morgue
*a janitorial supply closet
*a chemistry station
*the brig
The eastern section contains:
*stairs up to deck 1 and stairs down to the main area of deck 3 (both marked by deck number signs)
*a cryogenics bay (go here if you need to leave the game)
*engineering supply room
*miscellaneous supplies room (south of engineering supplies)
*main power storage and generation, including a slipspace drive.
*main ship thrusters.

Deck 3 of the Bertels is the location you will likely first see due to it containing the ship's umbilical connections. Most of deck 3's western section is dedicated to ODST equipment, including their SOEIV drop pods.
Due to the whitelisted nature of the ODST roles, the facilities in their portion of the ship won't be described.
The middle section contains:
*the main comms machinery
*the umbilical connections
*boarding pods with boarding beacon launchers (usage of these without EVA gear is not recommended, however, eva gear is available in all emergency oxygen closets)
*stairs up to deck 2, marked with deck number signs.
The eastern section contains:
*oxygen canister storage
*an auxilliary power generator
*a small training room
*a cryogenics bay
A Corvette, the UNSC Bertels has been deployed by the UNSC to defend Geminus and more importantly VT9 from Covenant and Insurrection forces.
Outer Colonies
Population Locked : 15 Players
The Outer Colonies gamemode includes all three factions, with the UNSC spawning on their base, Cassius Station, the Insurrection spawning on their base in Geminus and the Covenant spawning on their ship.
Outer Colonies allows all three factions to work towards their objectives, with a few important objectives (The destruction of planets, bases and ships) acting as contributors to round-end.
Due to the existance of the UNSC's combination Orbital MAC and sector base, first contact with Covenant forces tends to be around VT9, with further combat at Geminus if the UNSC retreat and are able to recover. The Insurrection is often allowed to thrive during this time as the UNSC is disorganised and fighting on two fronts.
Defense of Cassius Station and VT9 is highly important for the UNSC as Cassius Station acts as their spawn point and VT9 hold a navigation chip and the co-ordinates to Geminus City, allowing the Covenant to find it.

Vehicles are often utilised for mass troop transport, reconnisance or as a force multiplier. Many vehicles are available, each with their own different allowance of passangers, gunners and integrated armaments.

Entering a vehicle is done via the right-click menu. A vehicle can only ever have one driver, and lacking a drive can sometimes cause a vehicle to crash to the ground (as is the case with air vehicles). The enter vehicle command will allow you to choose which seat you enter the vehicle in.
People can also be forced to enter a vehicle by grabbing them and clicking the vehicle.

Vehicle gunners will be provided with the vehicle's integrated armaments, ranging from a low caliber, fast firing mounted machine gun to high explosive tank rounds.

Some vehicles allow passengers or gunners to fire out of the vehicle with their own personal armaments, so experiment with different weapons and vehicles (Rocket launcher on passenger seat of mongoose, for example.)

Vehicles are also capable of carrying cargo, which can be loaded into the vehicle simply by hitting the vehicle with the item. Each vehicle has a specific amount of cargo space that can be filled. Some vehicles are also capable of carrying large cargo such as artifacts and crates.

Vehicles may also be able to carry other vehicles. These are loaded via click drag and utilise a different cargo space than normal cargo. (air vehicles tend to have the ability to carry other vehicles)

Vehicles can sustain damage and become inoperable. The open nature of some vehicles means that even occupants can be hurt by incoming fire. On most vehicles, being made inoperable will disable movement and weapons, however, some vehicles retain weapon usage.

Once a vehicle has been made inoperable, it will require repair before it can move again and any shots hitting the vehicle will hurt the occupants, even if those positions are normally unable to be hurt by incoming fire.

Repairing a vehicle requires tools and materials. (Nanolaminate for Covenant, plas-steel for heavy UNSC and Insurrection vehicles, steel for normal vehicles).
These are the steps to reparing a vehicle:
*Inspect the vehicle's components via right click menu.
*Apply sheets of the required material to the vehicle. Each sheet provides different amounts of health for different vehicles.
*Finalise the repair by applying the requested tools. These change each time the repair process is required.
*Finalising repair should restore the vehicle to functionality, even if it's only a single sheet of the required material. Minimal repairs will however make the vehicle incredibly susceptible to further damage.

Boarding ships or transferring between overmap objects is usally done with the help of a ship's umbilical connector. With these, you can move people and cargo between ships without expending any resources, however, umbilical boarding requires adjacency to the object you want to board, with movement causing the umbilical to disconnect.

Due to hostile vessels (inconsiderately) choosing to remain highly mobile, other methods of boarding are provided by way of boarding pod. Boarding pods allow for landing on or inside a hostile vessel, however, previous damage or unlucky landing location can lead to landing within locations that require tools to escape from. For this reason, bringing EVA gear on boarding operations, alongside tools to breach the hull is recommended.

To launch a boarding pod, first a boarding beacon has to land on the hostile vessel. Boarding beacons are fired by launcher consoles, which should be nearby the boarding pods. Once a boarding beacon lands, it remains until a short period of time passes, then the beacon self-deletes. Boarding beacons do respect the targeting console's target and as such, a boarding pod can be targeted at a specific location of a ship, although it is unreliable.

Ship vs ship combat is an important step of contact with any other vessel. The system may seem complex, however, interacting with it is simple.

Pre-preparing for ship v ship combat is often done due to the main ship weapons requiring time and effort to fire (See link for more details). Non-main ship weapons merely require accessing the related console (usually located on the bridge of the ship) and clicking to fire.

Ship weapons are linked to a local firing console, which are then further linked to a global control consoles. Local command consoles are usually locatated near each weapon array, whilst global control consoles are located in a centralised location (usually the bridge and battle bridge). Each ship weapon reloads automatically, however, the reload times on each weapon varies.

Ship weapon consoles are fully immune to explosion damage, however, if the power in the area is disabled, the ship weapon consoles will cease to function. Ensuring a continued supply of power is vital to continued combat.

Ship weapon impact location on the enemy vessel is entirely random, however, ships are equipped with a targeting console that allows for specific aiming on ships and planets. Using the targeting console allows for the targeting of an area of the ship, at the downside of a much higher chance of the fired projectiles missing and doing no damage.

Special mention should be had for boarding pod beacon launchers. Whilst they function like normal ship weapons, they do no direct damage and instead place short-lived beacons to allow boarding pods to launch to and infiltrate hostile vessels.

Currently, Main ship weapons are the MAC cannon and the covenant glassing beam. Both of these types function in similar ways. An ammo loading console will provide a readout of the current amount of ammo loaded for a main ship weapon, alongside the maximum loadable ammo count.
Once loaded, a ship weapon can be dry-fired (click on the firing console, then click anywhere else on the map) to start the charging process. The charging process pulls immense amounts of power from the grid and slows to a crawl if that power is not available. Charging a MAC takes around 15 seconds.

Main ship weapons can also be used for orbital bombardment.

Cassius Station acts as a combination Orbital MAC Gun and main base for the UNSC forces in the 111 Tauri system. Cassius Station orbits VT9.

For the UNSC, defending Cassius station from the Covenant or Insurrection is of vital importance due to the station acting as their main spawnpoint. If destroyed, many UNSC roles will no longer be able to spawn and the UNSC will have to rely on the help of the ONI forces on the secret military installation of VT9.
Players spawn inside the bunks, at the eastmost "pod" of Cassius Station.
The middle pod contains the base's command center and nuclear self destruct device alongside a barely-furnished mess hall.
The western pod contains a medbay, the stairs down and power generation facilities.
The northen area of the bottom deck of Cassius Station is entirely dedicated to containing the MAC cannon. This can be configured for automatic or manual firing, and is used as a deterrent for ships moving into the range of Cassius Station.
A training room and arcade are provided for forces to use, alongside a minor anti-boarding armory.
The south of Cassius Station's second deck holds an array of emergency breach gear alongside a shuttle spawner console (see middle of southern section) and three umbilicals, used for connection to nearby ships, planets and other such vessels.
