Gameplay Guides

Fullness and Starvation
The effects of fullness and hunger are equally bad, so it is best to stay at a happy medium. Keep in mind how much you've eaten and how long it has been since you last ate, and you will be fine. Go with the rule that, If you have a hard time getting it down, don't eat any more. Note, that nutrition is typically slow-release, so even if you don't see the indicator change immediately after eating, it probably will do so soon.

As a chef, it is easy for you to create a little snack which is surprisingly filling, by injecting for example more nutriment into it. Several reagents will increase your fullness:
* Very filling: Corn oil, Nutriment (found in most foods), Animal Protein (found in meat), and Egg Yolk.
* Somewhat filling: Ketchup, coco powder, Hot Ramen, Hell Ramen, Sugar.
* Minor increase: Soy Sauce, Hot Coco, Potato Juice, Bilk, Sprinkles, Dry Ramen, Flour, Rice, Cherry Jelly, Doctor's Delight, Beer, Thirteen Loko, Mead, Banana Mama.

As you walk and burn calories on the station, your nutrition indicator will change from starting green, down to dark red; if your hunger bar turns black, you've eaten way too much.

If you drop to dark red, you will start to move very slowly. You are starving, this is not good! The effects will last until you eat some food, so head to the chef for a burger or grab some junk food from the nearest machine.

Some things will decrease your hunger faster:
* Vomiting
* Being cold (by exposure to cold environments or because you were in a cryo tube)
* Recovering from blood loss
* Taking Lipozine
* Some viruses

General cooking tips
* Grinding and blending might leave some undesirable leftovers in the mix. You can use the CondiMaster 3000 to separate these into new bottles. Unneeded reagents can be discarded either by leaving them in the CondiMaster's buffer, or by pouring the beaker into a sink.
* Milk, Soy Milk, Berry Juice, Soy Sauce, Hot Sauce, Cold Sauce, and Sugar are all measured in reagent units rather than by number of containers. They can be poured directly into the microwave.
* Sliceable foods (cakes, pizzas...) can be divided into smaller portions by slicing them. Their reagents are divided equally into the slices. The slices noted here are the maximum number of slices, which you can get by using a precise cutting tool like a kitchen knife, cleaver, or scalpel; crude cutting tools, like axes, shovels, and saws will result in fewer slices. Engineers, please stop using wirecutters to slice your pizza, even though it works.
* Most machines in the kitchen are essentially devices that you put a food item into, wait awhile, and get a modified version of that item as a result - grilled, fried, etc. You can use a food item in each machine only once, preventing grilled grilled grilled grilled results. You can, however, make a candied box of grilled deep-fried baked diona nymph cereal sandwich.
* The oven only accepts single ingredients, but produces whatever you select beforehand while empty. For an example, selecting "cake" will give you carrot cake if you stick a carrot in, cacao cake for a cacao pod, etc. Careful with leaving food in the oven for too long as it will burn, covering your whole kitchen in smoke.
** You can make the following in the oven: Personal pizza, Bread, Small pie, Small cake, Hot pocket, Kebab, Waffles, Cookie, Donut.
* Candy machine works in the similar way as the oven.
**Products: Jawbreaker, Candy bar, Sucker, Jelly.
* Condiments are reagents can be added to food, possibly increasing their nutrition value or adding some fun extras. A chef can create condiments by grinding up things that contain them and isolating them in the CondiMaster. Condiments let you put ketchup on your fries, salt in your soup, Dylovene on your fish fingers, or psilocybin on your ghost burger - the possibilities are endless. Foods hold a maximum of fifty units of reagents.
* Some poisonous foods can be prepared safely if Dylovene is added to the finished product, or if the poisonous reagent is neutralized somehow. Experienced chefs only!

Experimental cookery is, unfortunately, not rewarded on board the Torch. Failing to follow a recipe properly will just produce a burned mess, which is extremely unhealthy and will clog the machine used to produce it until space cleaner is applied. A Cook with their eye on success will stick to the recipes provided in the Guide to Food.

Various dishes, such as cheese wheels and cakes, can be cut into handy slices using your kitchen knife. Do be aware, however, that carrying said knife out of the kitchen tends to result in panic from the close-minded folk who cannot understand culinary genius.

Hydroponics
Hydroponics, located just beside the kitchen, exists to produce produce for use in your various dishes. While a great variety of fruits and vegetables can be grown here, the most vital for most dishes are wheat, tomatoes, and potatoes. Growing these is an intelligent start to a good lunch. The department can also produce wheat and milk using spare biomass from unneeded plant matter, which is quite handy upon occasion. See the Guide to Hydroponics for more information.

Animals
The meat hooks located in the freezer are suitable for hanging up any hapless monkeys that happen to wander by, at which point they can be easily carved up for usable steaks. In case the crew objects to eating monkey meat, however, the Cook can order a variety of other sources of protein from Supply.

Cows - aside from slaughtering for meat, can be milked with a bucket, but they do require feeding them some wheat.

Chickens - ordering some to keep in the pasture <s>as part of your private petting zoo</s> is a good step to take if you know you'll be needing more eggs than the ones you start with. Feed them with wheat to get them to lay eggs. Unattended eggs may hatch into even more chickens, so beware. Chickens can also be put into the meat grinder to make chicken meat.

Goats - Careful around these. They tend to get ornery, and aren't much good for anything other than the occasional milking.

Space carp - these cannot be ordered from Supply, but will sometimes turn up on their own. If you can convince Security to bring you the carcass after it has been killed, the meat can be used in a variety of exotic recipes - just keep in mind that it is naturally toxic, and you will need to inject it with dylovene in order to keep from poisoning your customers.

Blending
All food contains the universal ingredient called "Nutriment". This is what nourishes you and heals your injuries when you eat. Although food might not heal you as quickly as the doctor can, and won't heal the more unusual types of damage, it can often heal for more over time.

You can blend anything that comes from botany, and pretty much all food. Nutriment can be added to your dishes to make them more filling. Some plants contain other liquids that can be used as condiments or as ingredients in food.

Vending Machines
When there's no chef, or the chef is serving unidentifiable, possibly toxic glop, most people resort to one of two things: grazing on produce or the vending machines.

Food from vending machine requires no chef or machinery, but on the other hand, it's generally not as filling or interesting.
The last of the machines available is the meat grinder, found in the cold room. It can be used to grind up living or dead animals, turning them into a horrible bloody mess and, as an added bonus, producing some sizable chunks of meat which you can then use in your cooking. Do note, however, that the meat grinder does not (normally) accept humans, and grinding up Warrant Officer Punitelli for steaks is likely to plunge the station into civil war.
Not only can you add/remove some particular tastes in any dish, you can also add secondary effects to it. From injecting a Plump Pie as full as it can get with Tricordrazine, to create a super-healing dessert, to Psilocybin laced burger or an egg filled with capsacin. Go ahead and imagine a chef with a bandolier full of weaponized eggs.

Some reagents in the finished products are poisonous. If you're a Traitor, that may be the point, but if you're a professional, you may want to serve these items safely. This is where a little chemistry can help neutralize or remove the dangerous reagents from your food. When using Dylovene, it's okay to use more than you strictly need, as there is no danger of overdose. Other chemicals you might use to neutralize poison aren't so forgiving, and some are poisonous themselves.

Any given piece of food can contain only 50 units of reagents.

{| width="550" style="text-align:left; background-color:#FFFFFF;" border="1" cellspacing="0"
! style="background-color:Aqua;" |Reagent
! style="background-color:Aqua;" |How to Neutralize
|-
| Animal Protein; Egg Yolk
| Harmless to most people, animal protein, including egg yolk, is unsafe for Skrell. A one-to-one ratio of Dylovene to animal protein will make it safe for Skrell to eat.
|-
| Blood
| Blood is not necessarily poisonous. It is always the same type as the person it was taken from, and if the type is incompatible with the recipient, it will cause a rejection reaction.
O-negative blood is always safe.
Add one unit of Dylovene for every four units of blood.
Alcoholic drinks made with blood, of any type, are safe; just be sure there is no blood left over after the reaction.
Blood can also be neutralized with Clonexadone (1 unit Clonexadone to 5 units Blood), or by adding drink ingredients to create a blood-based drink.
|-
| Carpotoxin
| Anything made with carp meat will have carpotoxin in it. Since it metabolizes very slowly, using Dylovene in the food is ineffective. Carpotoxin reacts with copper and cryptobiolin to form rezadone, but overdose of it starts at 15 units and most carp foods have 6 units of it, guaranteeing overdose. Look below for the guide on how to serve carp safely.
|-
| Amatoxin
| Found in mushrooms. Add 1 unit Dylovene per 2 units Amatoxin.
|-
| Toxin
| Add 1 unit Dylovene per 2 units Toxin.
|-
| Slime Jelly
| Will poison your customers no matter how much Dylovene you add. Adding Dylovene (around 30 units or so) will keep them from dying of the poisoning before they can get to Medical, but if you're not a traitor, do you want to serve them such a painful dish? (No, don't answer that. We know customers can be annoying; that's still no excuse to poison them.)
|-
| Radium
| Found in roast diona and will cause radiation poisoning. Add 1 unit of Dylovene per unit of Radium; reacts to form Hyronalin.
|-
| Sulphuric Acid
| Dylovene won't cut it for sulphuric acid, which will burn as well as poison anyone unlucky enough to ingest it. Instead, neutralize each 1 unit of Sulphuric acid with either 3 units of Corn Oil (creates glycerol), 4 units of Soy Milk (creates soy sauce), or 5 units of wine (creates Acid Spit, an alcoholic cocktail).
|-
| Polytrinic Acid
| You're serious about serving that xeno meat, huh? Well, don't serve it plain; polytrinic acid will poison, burn, and generally kill your customers in a rather nasty manner. Like with sulphuric acid, dylovene isn't enough, but unlike sulphuric acid, it's not easy to neutralize. Polytrinic acid will react with foaming agent and either iron or aluminum to create metal foam, and 10 units of polytrinic acid and 20 units of plasticide will create plastic. When working out how to do this, remember that plasticide is poisonous and metal foam can be chipped through with a kitchen knife.
|-
| Alcohol
| An equal amount of Ethylredoxrazine reacts with Alcohol (including alcoholic drinks) to make water.
|-
| Synaptizine
| Synaptizine is poisonous, but the bigger problem is that it hangs around in the system for a long time. For every unit of synaptizine, you need 30 units of Dylovene.
|-
| Phoron
| Really, now? You could neutralize phoron by adding 2 rum and 1 vermouth per unit, but eating phoron is still a bit of a waste.
|-
RULE 1: LISTEN TO THE ADMINS

*If you are not certain, ask in adminhelp. We are here to assist you. Doing this will prevent 99% of all bans.

*If no admins are online, use your common sense. To make a complaint against a player when there are no admins, use player complaints on the forum for later investigation.

*If there is someone that is excessively assaulting other players while no admins are online, you are allowed to protect yourself and others from them in lethal means. However, keep in mind you may be subject to review of your actions. This is not a golden pass to murder someone you find annoying.

*If an admin says something, for that time being, it is law. No matter what an admin said at any other time or rule stating otherwise. If you want to lawyer it, take it to the admin complaint forum where your argument may be reviewed.

*The admin has full right to decide the harshness of your ban, dictated by past record or their own prerogative. If you suspect this is abused, create an admin complaint for review.

*Excessive disrespect towards admins and staff can lead to a ban.
Admins are fully expected to adhere to rules 2 and 3. Violations are to be posted on the admin complaint forum. Keep in mind just because something is posted there, it is not grounds for dismissal, but merely grounds for behavior correction.

RULE 2: ROLEPLAY EXPECTATION

*For all factions DO NOT RUSH to remove another faction spawn point with in first 10 minutes of the round.

*During First Contact all humans have zero knowledge of the Covenant or Spartan/Orions

*NPC Colonist/trader and or ships are to be treated as if they are another player.

*We expect a level of roleplay where you are not talking in internet speak of any kind. Smilies and leet are specifically banned. Phrases like ‘wtf’ and ‘omg’ may not be outwardly punished but keep in mind we want you to move on from it.

*No erotic roleplay. This also includes stalking, sexual harassment or making people feel sexually uncomfortable.

*Realistic names to the setting. Famous names and immature names are not allowed. Same for theming your personality around such. (note: Names with no last name is fine "Butch" or "Dr. John Adams is fine too)

*No psychotic behavior. If your actions or roleplayed mental behavior go so far as to inflict murder or excessive violent behavior, expect to be met with a ban.

*Using information from OOC or from an outside source other then IC, is not allowed. For example, using information seen from a person’s stream.

*You are allowed to handle SSD. Taking ID’s and other important items are often helpful and at times mandatory.

*No self-antagging. You value your job, your faction and your coworkers lives. Even in the event those three things no longer apply, you are not to be found firing alongside the insurrectionists or grunts. Vice versa.

*You do not have the skills of every job. You are only expected to have the skills of your current job.

RULE 3: BEHAVIOR EXPECTATION

*No racism. This includes shouting “ALLAHU AKBAR” before explosions. Discriminating people based off gender/race/religion is not tolerable.

*No talking about other servers negatively in OOC.

*Using mechanics such as atmospherics or the chemical system to disrupt the round, may be met with a ban. Remember to contact adminhelp in such situations where you want to use these tools in such a way.

*Nothing NSFW in OOC.

*If there is evidence of you outwardly greifing other servers, we may decide to remove you from our own for your behavior.

*No harassment of other players. If you have an issue you can take it to the player complaints forum. If you have nothing really to show there, then you likely have nothing of value to spout in OOC about them.

*English is the only allowed language. We have IC languages for your secret whisper parties, use those.

*No collaboration of activities such as skype or teamspeak to give yourself an edge in the game. This is more easily noticeable than you suspect.

RULE 4: BAN EVASION

*Ban Evasion by the use of TOR, or a program with the same endgoal, will be punished by a permanent ban.

*Ban Evasion by the use of alt-ckeys to bypass a ban is forbidden and will earn you a permanent ban.

*Using another users account to access whitelisted features is forbidden and will land you severe ban.
*If you and another person are playing this server and have the same IP ahelp letting staff know before hand.

<br />
<br />
<center>UNSC RULES OF ENGAGEMENT</center>

* Before deploying, state ship name, ship's CO (if any, if not, simply state 'Of the UNSC fleet'). State that you are performing a routine colony check-up. (Optionally, explain existence of intelligence rumors of URF activity.)

* Once deployed, request a meeting with the mayor. If no mayor exists, request a meeting with the Chief of Police. Don't worry about neither existing. DO NOT DRAW YOUR WEAPONS AND RUSH AROUND. This is not yet an active warzone. Keep your guns on your back or your armor.

* Inform the mayor you will be taking over <STRUCTURE> for use as a temporary base of operations for the duration if you intend to have one.

* If/when URF elements are spotted, do not simply open fire and mow them down unless under fire yourselves or given orders of going "hot" by a higher up. Order them to lay down and do nothing. You are permitted to fire if they do not comply. Immediately following either hostilities or the successful capture of your URF element, call out over shipboard comms your location and that URF elements have been spotted. Non-civilian hostages can be executed at any time for any reason.

* At this point, inform the colony over general comms that the area is an active warzone pending the eradication of all URF elements. Inform all civilians that martial law may be applied. Inform all civilians that firearms on their person will result in immediate subduing and questioning by the local police. Furthermore, inform all colonists, including police, that IDs must be clear and present, and face-obscuring items may not be worn. If any marines or GCPD are found wearing face-obscuring items or refuse to present their ID, subdue them and cuff them. Anyone pulling a gun out in front of Marines, or spotted with one in plain view, is to be given a single warning, typically while aiming a gun at them, before opening fire.

* Should the threat be great enough (Decision rests with Marine Command), the colony can be placed under martial law. If this occurs, the Marine Officer who declares martial law must inform all civilians that they are to return to their homes or the town hall, or some other designated building, and to remain there. All civilians are to be searched by the GCPD/Marshall, and any weapons or illegal items confiscated and that civilian placed under arrest pending interrogation.

* Should the URF elements have irrevocably infested the colony (all civilians known sympathizers, GCPD complicit or atively hostile, then the Commander (and only the commander) can authorize the usage of the colony's sole nuclear weapon to annihilate the enemy. To do so, he must first contact UNSC High Command (admins) via fax and request authorization of the colony's nuclear codes, then find and secure the authentication diskette carried by the mayor, before finally using both to arm and detonate the nuclear weapon itself.

* The Hospital is *NEVER* to be used as a base of operations, and is likewise *NEVER* a valid target for retaliatory strikes, unless the URF have actively claimed the structure.

* (GEMINUS SECTOR)The MAC Cannon should, up until martial law is declared, be left in the capable hands of the GCPD. Once it's been declared, however, the bunker should be occupied by at least one marine at all times, and fortified to boot. Should the risk of capture become more or less certain, overload the cannon to prevent it falling into URF hands

* Marines are never to wear uniforms sanctioned outside normal UNSC regulations. This includes civilian clothing or insurrectionist gear. This is to prevent friendly fire, and to show the enemy that we are a professional standing army. Failure to adhere to this will result in a dressing-down and potentially demotion.

* UEG has sent you to Geminus to ferret out any potential URF activity. The colony is not to be considered immediately hostile. Furthermore, UEG structures, such as the MAC Cannon, are UEG property, not the colony's. The destruction of such structures by UNSC forces without explicit permission from UNSC High Command will result in a court-martial.

* Strict avoidance of killing civilians should be in place unless otherwise stated in the guidelines. A colonist simply vocally supporting the URF is not a reason to put a bullet in its head.

<center>URF SYMPATHIZER GUIDELINES:</center>

* YOU ARE NOT A SOLDIER. YOU ARE NOT WILLING, TYPICALLY SPEAKING, TO GO TOE TO TOE WITH THE MARINES.

* You are, however, a saboteur, spy, and supporter of the URF. You can build for them, run errands they can't risk being seen doing (bar, of course, opening fire on Marines. You aren't suicidal, I hope.) You can make bombs, medicines, report on UNSC locations and injured, numbers and the like. You can attempt poisoning or 'accidentally' letting them die if you are trying to treat their injuries. You can attempt to sway the mayor to the URF's side. Your role isn't one of mass combat, it's one of some solid roleplay.
* However you may engage in active hostilities if you are in a prime setting for sabotage, such as finding yourself on the UNSC frigate or the MAC.

<center>URF RULES OF ENGAGEMENT:</center>

* Do not rush to raid places within the first 10 minutes of the round.

* You as the URF( UNITED REBEL FRONT)your main goal is to free the outer system from the UEG by crushing & pushing the UNSC back, So you shouldn't be attacking civs and the colony itself unless the civs are a major threat.

*It is suggested to quietly deploy but not mandatory. Send a sympathizer, recruiter, or disguised agent to the mayor. Speak to them, get a feel for their perception of the URF. Try to find something to blackmail him with. Kidnap Ian, for instance. Or someone close to them.[/font][/b]

Don't go sprinting to the MAC cannon and obliterating the frigate before the Marines ever land. Realistically, the distress signal would get intercepted and you'd have half a fleet breathing down your neck

* Let the recruiter, if any, spread propaganda. You should be off public comms, quietly meeting with the colonists in disguise and giving them aid and succor from the tyrannical UNSC. If the UNSC appropriate a public location for their base, ask the mayor and colonists why they're letting the military take over the colony!

* If you spot a UNSC Marine, aim your gun at them! Tell them to get down on the ground and don't move, then go and handcuff them, strip their radio, and get them somewhere out of sight for... 'interrogation' Unless giving orders of going "hot" you can open fire. Hostages can be executed at any time for any reason.

* Use your communication bugs! Pop a few of these in popular locations and you can do quite a lot through the colony's cameras. Sympathizers are a great way to spread these around!

* (GEMINUS SECTOR)Once the fireworks have started in earnest, try to free up a couple of friends to try and capture the MAC cannon. Be inventive in the way you get inside. Maybe you thermite the walls down and then lob a chloral hydrate smoke grenade inside. Maybe you bomb your way in and gun everyone down.

<center>GCPD/Marshall GUIDELINES:</center>

*(GEMINUS SECTOR) You should move to secure the MAC bunker immediately after assessing your staff. At least one GCPD officer should be present in the bunker at all times. Do not sit in the firing room. Stay in your designated checkpoint.

*(GEMINUS SECTOR) The Chief of Police should speak to the mayor when the Marines announce their presence. The Marines should *NOT* be arrested by the GCPD. The police do not handle the military. The military police handle the military. (We should really get an MP role, as well, someday?)

* Should the mayor or Chief of Police suspect URF elements, or URF elements become known, the Detective should be given a new-minted ID card stating they are a simple colonist, and immediately proceed to mount an undercover investigation, complete with recording devices and camera. The detective should present his findings to the Chief of Police directly, not to the mayor.

* The armory should not be opened until there is actual hostilities engaged, or circumstances become extremely dire. (IE the mayor sides with the URF openly, URF assault the precinct, or the colonists revolt.)

* After subduing any suspect for any reason, a single officer with medical training should ensure they are healthy enough to interrogate. Specifically, that they will not die during questioning or bleed all over the precinct floor.

* Should a colonist be found guilty of breaking the law, handcuff them and take them to the precinct. Ensure they are wearing prisoner oranges before setting the timer on their cell. Do not leave prisoners bucklecuffed to a bed, always take their cuffs off after strip-searching them.

* If martial law is declared, all GCPD/Marshall should report to the public destination of all colonists. Typically, this is the town hall. Once there, they should thoroughly check all colonist's gear for hidden weapons or other contraband. The presence at the MAC bunker should be increased as well.

* The marines should be allowed handcuffs, if requested, to non-lethally capture potential hostiles

* (GEMINUS SECTOR)Chief of Police is not allowed to go in and grab the spare ID for any reason.

<center>UEG COLONY LAWS </center>

* Illegal Firearm - 15 Minutes, Confiscation of Firearm
* Illegal Drugs - 10 Minutes, Confiscation and Destruction of Drugs.
* Trespass - 5 Minutes, Questioning
* Breaking and Entering - 5 Minutes, Questioning
* Assault (Non-Lethal Punches, Disarming/Pushing) - 5 Minutes
* Aggravated Assault (Lethal Punches, Neck Grabs, any/all wrestling 'attacks') - 15 Minutes, Questioning
* Aggravated Assault With A Deadly Weapon (Attacking someone with a knife/gun butt/spear/gun) - 30 Minutes, Questioning, Confiscation of Weapon
* Attempted Murder (Shooting someone, repeated attacks with deadly weapons. Typically paired with Aggravated Assault With A Deadly Weapon. This does not apply to marines... typically. If the marine has broken the ROE, yes. If not, no.) - Permanent Confinement, Questioning, Confiscation of Weapon
* Murder - Permanent Confinement, Questioning, Execution
* Assault on an Officer (or Marine) - 25 Minutes, Questioning
* Insurrectionist Activity - Extradition to the UNSC
* Attempted Murder of an Officer (or Marine) - Summary Execution
* As an aside, if a marine is acting 'rogue', give them a chance to come in, and question them thoroughly. If they refuse, subdue and question them thoroughly. Ensure you listen to both sides.

<center>COLONISTS/CIVILIAN ROLES</center>

* You are allowed to choice to support the URF/UNSC

* You are allowed to do illegal activities such as gun running, drug selling, robbing and fighting other civs. Note these crimes are limited to only to be acted upon fellow civs not the UNSC or URF unless in self defense you can fight them back.

* Do not be a hero, as a colonist you only want to live another day, contact local authorities instead.

* Report to the Mayor for roles when you arrive. If there is no mayor you are allowed to run an election.
* In first contact note you are Kig-Yar pirates yes, but foremost you are still members of the covenant empire still bound by its rules and such (No using heretic gear like human guns and vehicles) , you tasks in this outer system is to scout it out for the empire to see if there is anything worth noting ( Holy relics, Human settlements, stolen covenant gear etc) before the main ship comes.

* (FC) Do not get involved in fights with local parties, just obverse them unless you've been dragged into it by outside forces.

* (FC) Stay off open comms as to keep you and your crew presence hidden for the humans unless you've been compromised.

* (FC) Do not rush to raid places within the first 10 minutes of the round.

* (FC) Once an artifact is found send a fax to high charity to confirm completing your task

* If you are able to capture someone do it instead of killing outright unless they serve zero tactical advantage or is a threat.

* Unggoy taking a trophy off the battlefield is fine, but wearing it isnt. do not wear marine boots and other items like that just place your trophy in your own room or cargo haul.

* (FC) Do not causally walk onto human settlements, you must find a way in without being detected if you need to raid

* (FC) If for some reason you run into a civilian ship and they board your ship you are clear to be killed them so your cover isn't blown, unless they are wounded already and require aid take them in and study them.

* (FC) If you come in contact with a military force and can't evade you are clear to open fire, but still actively try to leave the combat zone! As your ship hold important intel for the covenant, if you fail to get away send a fax of your findings before you evacuate or die on the vessel.

BDpuffy420: Rule and RoE changes

<center> Job Rules </center>
<br />
<br />
UNSC RULES OF ENGAGEMENT:

* Before deploying, state ship name, ship's CO (if any, if not, simply state 'Of the UNSC fleet'). State that you are performing a routine colony check-up. (Optionally, explain existence of intelligence rumors of URF activity.) Don't take fifteen guns and sixty clips. A secondary weapon will do the job.

* If/when URF elements are spotted, do not simply open fire and mow them down unless under fire yourselves.

All civilians are to be searched by the GCPD, and any weapons or illegal items confiscated and that civilian placed under arrest pending interrogation.

* The MAC Cannon should, up until martial law is declared, be left in the capable hands of the GCPD. Once it's been declared, however, the bunker should be occupied by at least one marine at all times, and fortified to boot. Should the risk of capture become more or less certain, overload the cannon to prevent it falling into URF hands.

URF SYMPATHIZER GUIDELINES:

URF RULES OF ENGAGEMENT :

* It is suggested to quietly deploy but not mandatory. Send a sympathizer, recruiter, or disguised agent to the mayor. Speak to them, get a feel for their perception of the URF. Try to find something to blackmail him with. Kidnap Ian, for instance. Or someone close to them.

* You have armor, it helps when you want to be subtle to remove it as a disguise is as good as any armor. Know your situation well, as a disguise is terrible at resisting bullets.
* Don't go sprinting to the MAC cannon and obliterating the frigate before the Marines ever land. Realistically, the distress signal would get intercepted and you'd have half a fleet breathing down your neck.

'interrogation'. Hostages can be executed at any time for any reason.

* Use your communication bugs! Pop a few of these in popular locations and you can do quite a lot through the colony's cameras. Sympathizers are a great way to spread these around!

* Once the fireworks have started in earnest, try to free up a couple of friends to try and capture the MAC cannon. Be inventive in the way you get inside. Maybe you thermite the walls down and then lob a chloral hydrate smoke grenade inside. Maybe you bomb your way in and gun everyone down.

GCPD GUIDELINES:

* You should move to secure the MAC bunker immediately after assessing your staff. At least one GCPD officer should be present in the bunker at all times. Do not sit in the firing room. Stay in your designated checkpoint.

* The Chief of Police should speak to the mayor when the Marines announce their presence.

* If martial law is declared, all GCPD should report to the public destination of all colonists. Typically, this is the town hall. Once there, they should thoroughly check all colonist's gear for hidden weapons or other contraband. The presence at the MAC bunker should be increased as well.

* The marines should be allowed handcuffs, if requested, to non-lethally capture potential hostiles.
* Chief of Police is not allowed to go in and grab the spare ID for any reason.

GEMINUS CITY LAWS (Guidelines Only):

* Illegal Firearm - 15 Minutes, Confiscation of Firearm

* Illegal Drugs - 10 Minutes, Confiscation and Destruction of Drugs.

* Trespass - 5 Minutes, Questioning

* Breaking and Entering - 5 Minutes, Questioning

* Assault (Non-Lethal Punches, Disarming/Pushing) - 5 Minutes

COLONISTS:

* You are allowed to do illegal activities such as gun running, drug selling, ect.
* Do not be a hero, as a colonist you only want to live another day, contact local authorities instead.
* Report to the Mayor for roles when you arrive. If there is no mayor you are allowed to run an election.

*Admins are fully expected to adhere to rules 2 and 3. Violations are to be posted on the admin complaint forum. Keep in mind just because something is posted there, it is not grounds for dismissal, but merely grounds for behavior correction.

RULE 2: ROLEPLAY EXPECTATION

*We expect a level of roleplay where you are not talking in internet speak of any kind. Smilies and leet are specifically banned. Phrases like ‘wtf’ and ‘omg’ may not be outwardly punished but keep in mind we want you to move on from it.

*No erotic roleplay. This also includes stalking, sexual harassment or making people feel sexually uncomfortable.

*Realistic names to the setting. Famous names and immature names are not allowed. Same for theming your personality around such.
