Explain what you would do in the following scenarios and why:
Scenario 1:
You’re on the ONI Aegis and the ONI RD requests a Sierra team to deploy to VT9, as the covenant have been spotted and are attacking. They have not breached the gate and it is unclear as to the size of their forces. What do you do?
Re-access the situation, deployment of a Spartan team is a gross miss allocation of resources in this situation. Even if the RD is requesting Spartan assistance, there is no probable cause for deployment. The UNSC Marines have yet to be called down to assist, nor has the ONI base been breached and the RD be put in a directly dangerous situation. Await standby until you hear either the local Marine force was eliminated, or an override from High Command clears you for deployment.
Scenario 2:
You’re on the ONI Aegis and receive an urgent request from a Platoon Leader to deploy onto the UNSC Warship as the Insurrectionists have deployed a sizeable force and are taking control of the ship, and arming the nuclear device as they request assistance. What do you do?
Confirm orders with High Command. If the Platoon Leader is the highest ranking acting commander present. Then deployment may be approved, as Spartans may be deployed by RD, AND acting Commanders. UNSC assets are being stolen and destroyed, the Marine's defense lines have failed. Last resort is to send Spartans in to reclaim the ship.
Scenario 3:
You’ve been deployed on a mission to give the covenant back their bomb. You manage to arm the bomb, but your fellow spartan has been cut down and his body is being dragged away by the Covenant towards an escape pod. What do you do?
Priority one, Covenant cannot capture UNSC Technology. Spartan Armor is classified tier one. This means if it is a position where it is at risk of capture. Asset destruction takes priority. Even at the risk of the nuke detonating and catching you in the explosion. Retrieval and disposal via the self destruct built into the armor is required. Under no circumstances is the Covenant allowed to take off with the Spartan casualty.
